Lung cancer is a severe and the leading cause of cancer related deaths in men and women all over the world. Tumor suppressor protein (TP53) encoded by the TP53 gene which plays a pivotal role in various cellular tumor suppression processes viz cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. Henceforth, the present study was aimed to TP53 exon4 variants from lung carcinoma.

Buccal mucosa cancer has an aggressive nature as it rapidly grows and penetrates with high recurrence rate. Strikingly, carcinoma of buccal mucosa is the most common cancer of oral cavity in India. Recently, telomerase and telomere biology have been implicated in the pathogenesis and progression in various cancers via regulation of telomere maintenance by telomerase expression which is controlled by telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) promoter.

Background: Bispectral Index (BIS) is used to monitor anesthetic depth and is a useful instrument to keep a check on intraoperative awareness. But there are various situations in which it shows false readings. Our aim of the study was to observe the changes in BIS value with steep Trendelenburg position, which is usually done, in robotic pelvic surgeries.

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) play a key role in the neurodegeneration processes. Increased oxidative stress damages lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids in brain tissue, and it is tied to the loss of biometal homeostasis. For this reason, attention has been focused on transition metals involved in several biochemical reactions producing ROS.

The interim results of the large, multinational trials on coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) using a combination of antiviral drugs appear to have little to no effect on the 28-day mortality or the in-hospital course. Therefore, there is a still vivid interest in finding alternate re-purposed drugs and nutrition supplements, which can halt or slow the disease severity. We review here the multiple preclinical studies, partially supported by clinical evidence showing the quercetin's possible therapeutic/prophylaxis efficacy against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) as well as comorbidities like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes mellitus, obesity, coagulopathy, and hypertension.

Evidence of copper's (Cu) involvement in Alzheimer's disease (AD) is available, but information on Cu involvement in microglia and astrocytes during the course of AD has yet to be structurally discussed. This review deals with this matter in an attempt to provide an updated discussion on the role of reactive glia challenged by excess labile Cu in a wide picture that embraces all the major processes identified as playing a role in toxicity induced by an imbalance of Cu in AD.

Novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has spread across the globe; and surprisingly, no potentially protective or therapeutic antiviral molecules are available to treat severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. However, zinc (Zn) and copper (Cu) have been shown to exert protective effects due to their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral properties. Therefore, it is hypothesized that supplementation with Zn and Cu alone or as an adjuvant may be beneficial with promising efficacy and a favorable safety profile to mitigate symptoms, as well as halt progression of the severe form of SARS-CoV-2 infection.

TORCH {Toxoplasma gondii, Rubella, Cytomegalovirus (CMV), the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV)} infection causes pregnancy wastage at any stage of gestation. Serological assays can be an important tool for diagnosis. It includes ELISA which is highly specific & sensitive with certain drawbacks like time consuming and for each genus separate test have to be done.

Introduction: Low back pain is a chronic health problem with high socioeconomic impact. Specific diagnosis or treatment approach has not yet effectively established to treat chronic low back pain. Standing Back Extension Test is one of the clinical measures to detect the passive extension subgroup of Motor Control Impairment (MCI); which could have an impact on spinal stability leading to recurrent chronic low back pain.
