Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is one of the major health issues effecting around 15% of world population, and its further complications has raised the need of polypharmacy for management. But this polypharmacy also upsurges the risk of potential drug-drug interactions (pDDIs) in CKD patients, which may further be responsible for increased morbidity and mortality. The main objective is therefore to evaluate the distribution, severity, causes, associated drug interactions, and clinical relevance of determination of pDDIs in CKD patients.

In recent years, kaempferol, a natural flavonoid present in various fruits and vegetables, has received significant attention in gastrointestinal cancer research due to its varied therapeutic effects. Kaempferol has been proven to alter several molecular mechanisms and pathways, such as the PI3/Akt, mTOR, and Erk/MAPK pathway involved in cancer progression, showing its inhibitory effects on cell proliferation, survival, angiogenesis, metastasis, and migration. Kaempferol is processed in the liver and small intestine, but limited bioavailability has been a major concern in the clinical implications of kaempferol.

Environmental monitoring of mercury (Hg) ions has become increasingly important as a result of their detrimental effects on biological organisms at all levels. To recognize toxic metal ions, utmost effort has been devoted to developing new materials that are highly selective, ultra-sensitive, and provide rapid response. In this context, a new chemosensor, 2-imino [N - (N-amido phenyl)]-6-methoxy-3-carbethoxy quinoline (L), has been synthesized by combining 2-formyl-6-methoxy-3-carbethoxy quinoline and benzhydrazide and it has been extensively characterized by NMR, FTIR, ESI-Mass and SCXRD analysis.

Background: Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is recognized as the most lethal and most highly invasive tumor. The high likelihood of treatment failure arises from the presence of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and stem cells around GBM, which avert the entry of chemotherapeutic drugs into the tumor mass.
Objective: Recently, several researchers have designed novel nanocarrier systems like liposomes, dendrimers, metallic nanoparticles, nanodiamonds, and nanorobot approaches, allowing drugs to infiltrate the BBB more efficiently, opening up innovative avenues to prevail over therapy problems and radiation therapy.
