Climate change, the overconsumption of fossil fuels, and rapid population and economic growth have collectively driven a growing emphasis on environmental sustainability and the need for effective resource management. Chemicals or materials not currently regulated are known as contaminants of emergent concern (CECs). Nevertheless, wastewater is thought to be its main source, and worries about its probable presence in the environment are growing due to its potential damage to human and environmental health.

In the present study, we prepared Gum Acacia-cl-Acrylic acid-co-itaconic acid (GA-cl-AA-co-IA) hydrogels by free radical crosslink polymerization method for the efficient removal of Rhodamine-B (RhB) dye. The hydrogels were further characterized by different characterization techniques: Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Atomic force microscopy (AFM), Brunuer-Emmett-Teller (BET) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) to confirm synthesis. The synthesis parameters were optimized by swelling studies, which were performed by gravimetric analysis method.

Class I bimaxillary protrusion is characterized by proclined incisors, a convex facial profile, procumbent lips, and increased lip strain. Treatment includes the extraction of premolars and the mesial movement of the proclined anterior teeth in the extraction spaces to correct the inclination. This case report describes the treatment of an 18-year-old male patient who presented with class I bimaxillary protrusion and procumbent lips.

Hypertension poses a significant risk to cognition-related disorders like dementia. As the global population ages, age-related neurological illnesses such as Alzheimer's disease are becoming increasingly prevalent. The primary hypertension treatments, angiotensin receptor blockers, and angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, exhibit neuroprotective properties.

The pyrrolyl cation is a 4π electron ring system which is anti-aromatic and unstable. This work reports an experimental procedure to obtain stable pyrrolyl cations. Electron donation from N-heterocyclic carbenes makes the ring stable by converting a 4π electron ring system into a 6π electron ring system.

In this study, we present three different approaches for the colorimetric detection of Ni ions using a specifically designed benzothiazole-quinoline dyad (L) synthesized the Knoevenagel condensation reaction in high yield. The unique properties of L enable a rapid and selective response to Ni ions, making it an ideal probe for practical applications. The probe L shows a pale yellow color under normal conditions.

Chronic fatigue stress (CFS) is a multisystem disorder which exhibits multiple signs of neurological complications like brain fog, cognitive deficits and oxidative stress with no specific treatment. Doxophylline, a non-selective phosphodiesterase inhibitor (PDEI), has anti-inflammatory properties with enhanced blood-brain barrier penetration and tissue specificity. We have evaluated the neuroprotective potential of doxophylline in a murine model of forced swim test (FST) induced CFS and in HO (hydrogen peroxide) induced oxidative stress in PC12 cells.

Introduction: Approximately 60-70% of individuals with diabetes experience varying degrees of damage to their nervous system, resulting in a condition known as diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). DPN usually involves distal body parts and is characterised as distal symmetrical sensorimotor neuropathy which is progressive in nature and follows a "glove and stocking pattern". It has significantly contributed to neuropathic pain, decreased nerve conduction velocity (NCV), impaired proprioception, compromised balance, and postural instability.

Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) represents a critical complication of Diabetes mellitus (DM), characterized by structural and functional changes in the myocardium independent of coronary artery disease or hypertension. Emerging evidence highlights the significant roles of phytochemicals, particularly astilbin and apigenin, in modulating key molecular pathways implicated in DCM. This review synthesizes current mechanistic insights and therapeutic potential of these compounds, focusing on their interactions with AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs), O-linked N-acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc), sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2), protein kinase C (PKC), nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB), mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) pathways.
