The physicochemical properties of the physiological makeup and the chemical componentof the system make this challenging throughout strenuous procedure. The current review concentrated on in silico modelling of drug disposition, involving absorption process, distribution process, and excretion process and includes thorough knowledge of various database expeditions, the development of a pharmacophore model, molecular docking studies, homology modelling supported sequence similarity and quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSAR)/ quantitative structure-property relationships (QSPR) evaluation along with all information about drug movement and related computational tools for understanding potential chemical and pathophysiological changes. The primary development in ADMET modeling in current times has been the clarification of the function and effective modeling of various transporters.

  • Prostate cancer is a common cancer among men, and this study investigates whether glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs), usually used for treating type 2 diabetes, can reduce the risk of developing this cancer.
  • The research included a systematic review of five studies from various countries, which found that GLP-1 RA use is associated with a significant 28% reduction in prostate cancer risk compared to other treatments.
  • The study concludes that GLP-1 RAs could play a role in reducing prostate cancer risk, especially for men with diabetes, but further research is needed to understand how these drugs work in this context and to examine different patient variables.

  • This study explores automated methods for assessing the accuracy of beam delivery in Pencil Beam Scanning (PBS) proton therapy using irradiation log files and machine learning (ML) models.
  • By analyzing 935 clinical treatment fields, the research found over 99.5% accuracy in spot positions and ML models effectively predicted spot sizes within 10% of expected baselines.
  • The proposed automation methods can enhance quality assurance processes and provide a faster alternative for patient-specific QA and routine evaluations in proton therapy.
