Mixed dentition analyses are used to determine possible tooth-size and arch-length discrepancies during the transition from primary to permanent dentition. Prediction methods using a probability table or linear regression equation use the sum of the mesiodistal widths of mandibular permanent incisors to predict the mesiodistal width of unerupted permanent teeth. Racial and sexual variations and sexual dimorphism in tooth size have been reported.

Oral cancer is the most prevalent head and neck cancer. Although tumor markers have been investigated for detecting the progression and prognosis of oral cancer, no reliable marker has been identified. We investigated the expression of ATP binding cassette subfamily B member 5 (ABCB5) positive stem cells in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and in inflammatory gingival hyperplasia.

Background: Cancer is a group of diseases characterized by abnormal cell growth and proliferation. Natural products are a potentially important source for bioactive phytochemicals in the management of cancer, which regulate a broad range of biological events via the modulation of interleukins (ILs), pro- and anti-inflammatory modulators, and other cancer hallmark-mediated signaling pathways.

Purpose: To systematically review the literature to identify in vivo studies investigating the anticancer properties of medicinal plants and natural molecules as modulators of ILs and their related pro- and anti-inflammatory signaling markers in tumor-bearing animals.
