Background: The lymphatic system is the major route of cancer metastasis, and sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs) are the first station for the spread of cancer cells. Accurate identification of SLNs by tracers during surgery is crucial for SLN biopsy and lymphadenectomy. However, conventional monomodal tracers such as blue dyes and carbon nanoparticles often induce a misjudgment of SLNs and thus are still unsatisfying for clinical applications.

Green ammonia synthesis using fluctuating renewable energy supply in decentralized process is a goal that has been long sought after. Ammonia synthesis with non-thermal plasma under mild conditions is a promising technology, but it faces the critical challenge of low energy efficiency. Herein, we develop an easily-scalable AuCu/Cu catalyst, which consists of a decimeter-scale metallic Cu antenna and nano-scale AuCu catalytic sites on metallic Cu surface, significantly enhancing the energy efficiency and ammonia yield in a radio-frequency (RF) plasma system.

Regulated cell death (RCD) is a type of cell death modulated by specific signal transduction pathways. Currently, known RCD types include apoptosis, autophagy, ferroptosis, necroptosis, cuproptosis, pyroptosis, and NETosis. Mutations in cancer cells may prevent the RCD pathway; therefore, targeting RCD in tumors has become a promising therapeutic approach.

Atherosclerosis (AS) is a major etiological factor underpinning a spectrum of cardiovascular diseases, leading to cerebral infarction, coronary artery disease, and peripheral vascular disease. The chronic progression of AS, spanning from initial plaque formation to the occurrence of acute cardiovascular events, underscores the complexity of AS and the challenges it presents in terms of treatment. Currently, the clinical management of AS relies predominantly on statins and proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 inhibitors, which primarily aim to reduce low-density lipoprotein levels and have demonstrated some therapeutic efficacy.

Traditional object detectors require extensive instance-level annotations for training. Conversely, few-shot object detectors, which are generally fine-tuned using limited data from unknown classes, tend to show biases toward base categories and are susceptible to variations within these unknown samples. To mitigate these challenges, we introduce a Two-Stage Fine-Tuning Approach (TFA) named Extreme R-CNN, designed to operate effectively with extremely limited original samples through the integration of sample synthesis and knowledge distillation.
