Background: Parkinson disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by motor dysfunctions and nonmotor symptoms. Current treatments do not alter disease progression, highlighting the need for alternative therapies. Music, dance, and mindfulness meditation have shown the potential to improve symptoms and quality of life in patients with PD.

Alginate-g-polyethylene glycol methacrylate xerogels cross-linked with strontium ions (AGPMS) were developed for wound healing applications. Grafting improved the mechanical properties of alginate xerogel significantly. Strontium cross-linking further strengthened the xerogel.

This work describes the synthesis and characterisation of cationised dextran and pullulan modified with diethyl aminoethyl methacrylate (DEAEM) for gene delivery in cancer cells. To dextran and pullulan, PEI was conjugated to impart cationicity. These cationised polysaccharides were then modified with DEAEM monomer via Michael addition reaction and synthesised four different derivatives viz DPD I, DPD II, PPD I and PPD II.

Objective: The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the antihypertensive efficacy of the chlorthalidone and telmisartan combination in Indian hypertensive patients who remained uncontrolled after taking the hydrochlorothiazide and telmisartan combination.
Methods: A total of 100 eligible patients were enrolled in this prospective, open label study. The patients were given telmisartan (40 mg) and chlorthalidone (12.
