Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Government College of Dentistry, 1 Sardar Patel Marg, Opp. M.Y. Hospital, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, 452001, India.

The permanence of deep subgingival restorations are questionable both functionally and biologically. Crown lengthening is one of the traditionally performing procedures to visualize and relocate the deep margins, but the limitations of the invasive surgical procedure are anatomical complications like exposure of root concavities or furcation, violation of biological width, post operative discomfort because of sutures or periodontal packs; and less patient compliance. Other than crown lengthening, researchers tried some other techniques like modified matrix adaptation technique, using retraction cord, making holes in matrix band and flowing resin modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC) to the root or cervical caries, orthodontic extrusion.

Context: Hyponatremia is associated with high in-hospital mortality in patients with acute decompensated Heart Failure (ADHF) and is one of the components in various risk scores in heart failure (HF). However, some risk scores predict outcomes in these patients without using hyponatremia as its component.

Aim: The study was aimed to evaluate the relationship between serum sodium levels at admission and clinical outcomes during the in-hospital course and three months' follow-up, in patients admitted in the intensive cardiac care unit (ICCU) with ADHF.

February 2015

Department of Radiodiagnosis, M.G.M. Medical College and M.Y. Hospital, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.

Breast screening is the medical screening of asymptomatic, apparently healthy women for breast lump in an attempt to achieve an earlier diagnosis. The assumption is that the early detection will improve outcomes. In western countries, breast screening programs have led to a significant reduction in mortality and improved prognosis of patients with breast cancer.

Background: Early screening plays a pivotal role in management of breast cancer. Given the socio-economic situation in India, there is a strong felt need for a screening tool which reaches the masses rather than waiting for the masses to reach tertiary centers to be screened. Digital infra-red thermal imaging (DITI) or breast thermography as a screening test offers this possibility and needs to be carefully assessed in Indian scenario.
