A large majority of microcytic hypochromic anemia have defects in cellular hemoglobin synthesis due to either iron deficiency or thalassemia trait; both differing in management and prognosis. HPLC and serum iron profile as confirmatory tests are unavailable at health care centers. Blanket therapy of iron supplements is therefore given in all such cases which may cause iron overload in thalassemia cases.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS CoV-2) is a highly infectious disease with many possible routes of transmission. Vertical transmission of SARS CoV-2 is still controversial. We report a case of vertical transmission of SARS CoV-2 from an asymptomatic pregnant woman to her newborn baby who had completely asymptomatic course in India.

Objectives: To analyse circumstances leading to fatalities in children left unattended in parked motor vehicles in India.
Methods: This study was a descriptive analysis conducted on the basis of an Internet search of published news in major Indian newspapers/channels using different combination of keywords.

Parked vehicles can create deadly environments for young children who are left unattended. This study was a descriptive analysis to describe circumstances leading to death in children left unattended in parked motor vehicles in India. Between 2011 and 2018, there were 16 incidents that resulted in 28 fatalities across India, mostly in the summer months.

Tufted Angiomas also known as angioblastomas /Angioblastoma of Nagakawa are rare vascular neoplasms localised to the skin and subcutaneous tissues with the upper trunk and neck being most common sites. They are mainly seen in children but a few cases in juveniles and adults have been reported. We hereby report this case, a 40-year-old male who presented with a right lower lid, painless, slowly progressive, firm swelling diagnosed as Tufted Angioma on histopathology and immunohistochemistry.

Objective: The aim of this study was to discuss the technique of midsagittal splitting laminoplasty and to compare its short-term follow-up results with laminectomy in cases of compressive cervical spinal cord myelopathy.
Materials And Methods: Exclusion criteria were as follows: Intramedullary compressive lesions, kyphotic cervical spine, previous spinal surgeries, and defective anterior vertebral column. Twenty patients (10 each of laminoplasty and laminectomy groups) were prospectively studied from 2005 to 2008.
