Background: A comparative study of topical feracrylum citrate versus adrenaline to minimise haemorrhage-related complications in paediatric hypospadiac patients.

Patients And Methods: A total of 108 consecutive paediatric hypospadiac patients (48 in the study group and 60 control - random allocation) were studied. In the study group, 1% feracrylum citrate solution was used and adrenaline (1:100,000) in controls.

Hypereosinophilic syndrome.

A case report, the clinical features, and a histopathological report in one case of Hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES) is reported. This patient had exfoliative dermatitis, urticaria and angiodema. She had received treatment with steroids which showed improvement and recurrence after stopping steroid therapy.

Aeration of the middle turbinate, termed "Concha bullosa", is one of the most common, obstructive, anatomic variants seen in patients with sinusitis. The present study was carried out on 150 patients of chronic sinusitis, who underwent CT scan paranasal sinuses, coronal section prior to Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS). The CT Scans were evaluated to detect the incidence of Concha bullosa and its types, the significance of Concha bullosa in genesis of osteomeatal complex disease and relation between type of Concha bullosa and osteomeatal complex disease.

Retropharyngeal abscess following accidental throttling.

Acute retropharyngeal abscess is common in infants and small children due to supuration of retropharyngeal lymph nodes. It is also not uncommon in adults due to injury of posterior pharyngeal wall by sharp object, foreign bodies and instrumentation. But acute retropharyngeal abscess following accidental throttling is reported for unusual etiology.
