The issue of effective wound healing remains highly relevant. The objective of the study is to develop an optimal method for the synthesis of nanosized cerium oxide powder obtained via the thermal decomposition of cerium carbonate precipitated from aqueous nitrate solution for the technical creation of new drugs in production conditions; the select modification of synthesis under different conditions based on the evaluation of the physicochemical characteristics of the obtained material and its biological activity, and an evaluation of the broad-spectrum effect on cells involved in the regeneration of skin structure as well as antimicrobial properties. Several modes of the industrial synthesis of cerium dioxide nanoparticles (NPs) were carried out.

Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) is the most common inherited mitochondrial disease, characterized by the development of bilateral partial optic nerve atrophy. Modern neuroimaging technologies enable the acquisition of high-quality images, allowing for the evaluation of all structural components of the orbits, including the optic nerve. Consequently, the relevance of performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in patients with LHON has increased.

Unlabelled: In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the contribution of neuroretinal degeneration to the pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy (DR), preceding the classic vascular changes associated with DR.
Purpose: This study evaluated the impact of the polypeptide drug Retinalamin on the structural and functional condition of the retina in patients with DR using optical coherence tomography (OCT) (Topcon OCT 2000 FA, Japan) and the Diopsys Nova vision testing system for electrophysiological studies of the visual organ.
Material And Methods: The clinical study included 56 patients (112 eyes) with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and DR without macular edema.

Unlabelled: ETDRS charts with logarithmic notation are widely used for measuring visual acuity in clinical studies worldwide. However, the distribution of measurement results often deviates from normal, limiting the applicability of parametric statistical methods, which are more powerful than the non-parametric ones. In cases of significant skewness, raw data can undergo power transformation with varying exponents (λ), as described by J.

Incidence of liver cancer as one of the most common cancers worldwide and become the significant contributor for the mortality among cancer patients. The disease burden, risk factors, and trends in incidence and mortality of liver cancer globally was described subsequently estimated the projections of liver cancer incidence or mortality by 2040. Data regarding age-standardized incidence and mortality rates for liver cancer was obtained from multiple databases, including GLOBOCAN 2020, CI5 volumes I-XI, WHO mortality database, and Global Burden of Disease (GBD)-2019.

Background: Some studies connect the popularity of food-tracking apps to an increase in restrictive eating and other disordered eating behaviors and find those apps harmful for psychological well-being, but there is a lack of empirical studies, especially of Russian samples.
Objective: To examine the connection between disordered eating symptoms, psychological well-being, and the use of a mobile food-tracking application.
Design: The participants were 26 women aged 18-30 ( = 21.

Background: The new synthesized water-soluble derivatives of C fullerenes are of a great interest to researchers since they can potentially be promising materials for drug delivery, bioimaging, biosonding, and tissue engineering. Surface functionalization of fullerene derivatives changes their chemical and physical characteristics, increasing their solubility and suitability for different biological systems applications, however, any changes in functionalized fullerenes can modulate their cytotoxicity and antioxidant properties. The toxic or protective effect of fullerene derivatives on cells is realized through the activation or inhibition of genes and proteins of key signaling pathways in cells responsible for regulation of cellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) level, proliferation, and apoptosis.
