Tyrosine Kinase beta (TRKβ), is a type I membrane receptor which plays a major role in various signalling pathways. TRKβ was found to be upregulated in various cancers and contrastingly downregulated in various neurodegenerative disorders. Hitherto, contemporary drug research is oriented towards discovery of TRKβ inhibitors, thus neglecting the development of TRKβ agonists.

Quinonoid dihydropteridine reductase (QDPR) is an enzyme that regulates tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4), a cofactor for enzymes involved in neurotransmitter synthesis and blood pressure regulation. Reduced QDPR activity can cause dihydrobiopterin (BH2) accumulation and BH4 depletion, leading to impaired neurotransmitter synthesis, oxidative stress, and increased risk of Parkinson's disease. A total of 10,236 SNPs were identified in the QDPR gene, with 217 being missense SNPs.

The usage of various herbicides in the agricultural field leads to water pollution which is a big threat to the environment. Herein, the pods of the Peltophorum pterocarpum tree were used as a cheap resource to synthesize activated carbon (AC) by low-temperature carbonization to remove 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) - an abundantly used herbicide. The exceptional surface area (1078.

Background: Although chronic wounds are devastating and can cause burden at multiple levels, chronic wound research is still far behind. Chronic wound treatment is often less efficient due to delay in diagnosis and treatment, non-specific treatment mainly due to lack of knowledge of wound healing or healing resistance genes. It's known that chronic wounds do not progress towards healing, because it gets stalled in inflammatory phase of wound healing.

The present study evaluates the biocompatibility of silver and zinc oxide nanoparticles with various effective microorganisms (EM), like beneficial microbial formulations. The respective nanoparticle was synthesised by chemical reduction of metal precursor with reducer via simple route green technology principles. The synthesised nanoparticles were characterised by UV visible spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies, revealing highly stable, nanoscale particles with marked crystallinity.

In the present communication, ZrTiO nanoparticles (NPs) are synthesized by the solution combustion method using urea (ZTOU) and oxalyl dihydrazide (ODH) (ZTODH) as fuel and calcined at 700 °C. The synthesized samples were characterized with different techniques. Powder X-ray diffraction studies show the presence of diffraction peaks corresponding to ZrTiO.

The present work reports pyridine-based chalones using spectroscopic techniques to use pyridine derivative analysis. The solvatochromic behavior of 3DPP in non-polar, polar protic and aprotic solvents has been investigated experimentally. The photophysical property of the compound in diverse solvents is attributed to the intra-molecular charge transfer interactions.

A limited experimental work was on multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT)-water nanofluid with surfactant in the solar parabolic collector at low volume concentrations. At high-volume concentrated nanofluid, the pressure drop was more due to an increase in the viscosity of the working fluid and an increase in the nanoparticle cost; hence it is not economical. This report attempted to use Sodium Dodecyl Benzene Sulfonate (SDBS) surfactant in the low-volume concentrated MWCNT-water nanofluid to establish effective heat transfer in solar parabolic collector applications.

Owing to the importance of fibroblasts in healing of wounds, it is necessary to isolate and culture them under in vitro conditions for the purpose of understanding the wound biology, drug discovery and development of personalized treatment. Although, several fibroblast cell lines are commercially available, they fail to represent the patient associated parameters. However, establishing a primary fibroblast culture, especially from infected wound samples, is challenging as the sample is more prone to contamination and number of live cells will be minimum in heterogeneous population.

The cost-effective novel Ag-doped (1-7%) (CuO-CuO)Cu (C3) heterostructured nanocomposites are successfully synthesized by the facile solution combustion process using the extract as a green fuel. The structural properties of fabricated nanocomposites were well-characterized by specific spectral techniques for enhanced electrochemical sensor detection, antibacterial activities, and sunlight-driven photocatalytic dye decoloration studies. The existence of Ag ions has been confirmed by the appearance of two peaks of Ag 3d (367.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study explores an innovative reaction process involving the Oxa-Michael addition of penta-substituted phenols to a tethered enone, utilizing iodine as an oxidizing agent, resulting in the successful synthesis of ten C-dimethylated flavones with yields ranging from 60-89%.
  • - Subsequently, the efficacy of these compounds against Mycobacterium tuberculosis was assessed using the Microplate Alamar Blue test, revealing two compounds (10e, 10h) with significant antibacterial sensitivity.
  • - Anticancer properties were evaluated in human lung cancer cell lines (A549) using the MTT assay, where four flavones exhibited notable activity with IC values between 39 and 48 μM,

Purpose: Fetal echocardiography is widely used for the assessment of fetal heart development and detection of congenital heart disease (CHD). Preliminary examination of the fetal heart involves the four-chamber view which indicates the presence of all the four chambers and its structural symmetry. Examination of various cardiac parameters is generally done using the clinically selected diastole frame.

Background: Epithelial-mesenchymal plasticity (EMP) involves bidirectional transitions between epithelial, mesenchymal and multiple intermediary hybrid epithelial/mesenchymal phenotypes. While the process of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and its associated transcription factors are well-characterised, the transcription factors that promote mesenchymal-epithelial transition (MET) and stabilise hybrid E/M phenotypes are less well understood.

Results: Here, we analyse multiple publicly-available transcriptomic datasets at bulk and single-cell level and pinpoint ELF3 as a factor that is strongly associated with an epithelial phenotype and is inhibited during EMT.

A novel metal-organic framework [MOFs], and 2-[benzo []thiazol-2-ylthio)-3-hydroxy acrylaldehyde-Cu-benzene dicarboxylic acid was synthesized by solvothermal method and characterized using -XRD, FSEM-EDX, TGA, BET, FTIR. The tethered organic linker, 2-[benzo []thiazol-2-ylthio)-3-hydroxyacrylaldehyde was commonly known as 2-mercaptobenimidazole analogue [2-MBIA]. Analysis of BET disclosed that addition of 2-MBIA to Cu-benzene dicarboxylic acid [Cu-BDC], reduced the crystallite size from 70.
