There have been only a small number of studies on the association of dentigerous cysts with supernumerary teeth. The purpose of this article was to report the case of a dentigerous cyst associated with an impacted inverted mesiodens that developed secondary to trauma to its predecessor, a non-vital permanent maxillary central incisor. As a consequence of trauma, the central incisor's root development was prematurely arrested and the open apex lay close to the follicle of the underlying inverted mesiodens.

The endeavor towards life-like restoration has helped nurture new vistas in the art and science of implant dentistry. The protocol of "restoration-driven implant placement" ensures that the implant is an apical extension of the ideal future restoration and not the opposite. Meticulous pre-implant evaluation of soft and hard tissues, diagnostic cast and use of aesthetic wax-up and radiographic template combined with surgical template can simplify the intricate roadmap for appropriate implant treatment.

No other factor plays a more significant role in preventive and interceptive dentistry than the preservation of deciduous dentition till its normal time of exfoliation. Premature loss of a deciduous tooth or a group of teeth might lead to wide range of implications. In lepromatous leprosy, it may be postulated that apparently normal areas of skin are the probable sites of future extension of the pathological process and the events taking place in these site might represent the earlier stages of such an extension. Thus the present study has been done to evaluate any such changes in the apparently normal oral mucous membrane of the lepromatous leprosy patients, since oral involvement is common in these patients. Twenty two cases of lepromatous leprosy were studied histologically to see changes in apparently normal oral mucosa.
