Effects of Ashwagandha ( ) standardized root extract on physical endurance and VO in healthy adults performing resistance training: An eight-week, prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study.

Background: Ashwagandha is a well-known Ayurvedic herb used for youthful vigor and wellbeing. This study investigated the effects of 600 mg standardized root extract (>5% withanolides) of Ashwagandha ( ) on muscle size, strength and cardiorespiratory endurance following resistance training.

Methods: In this eight-week, parallel-group, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study, 80 healthy male and female participants aged 18-45 years, who engaged in regular physical activity were randomly allocated in a 1:1 ratio to receive Ashwagandha (AG, n=40) 300 mg capsules twice daily for eight weeks, or identical placebo (PB, n=40).

Fixed-Dose Combination of Dapagliflozin + Sitagliptin + Metformin in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Poorly Controlled with Metformin: Phase 3, Randomized Comparison with Dual Combinations.

Introduction: This study compared efficacy and safety of triple drug fixed-dose combination (FDC) of dapagliflozin (DAPA) + sitagliptin (SITA) + metformin (MET) extended release (ER) with SITA + MET sustained release (SR) and DAPA + MET ER in patients with type 2 diabetes poorly controlled with metformin.

Methods: This phase 3, randomized, open-label, active-controlled study included adult patients with glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) ≥ 8% (64 mmol/mol) and ≤ 11% (97 mmol/mol), randomized in 1:1:1 ratio to receive either FDC of DAPA + SITA + MET ER (10 mg + 100 mg + 1000 mg) tablets once daily (n = 137) or co-administration of SITA + MET SR (100 mg + 1000 mg) tablets once daily (n = 139) or FDC of DAPA + MET ER (10 mg + 1000 mg) tablets once daily (n = 139). Primary endpoint was mean change in HbA1c from baseline to week 16.

A Multicentre, Multinational, Open-Label, 52-Week Extension Study of Gemigliptin (LC15-0444) Monotherapy in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

The purpose of this extension study was to assess the long-term efficacy and safety of gemigliptin 50 mg in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Patients with T2DM who had completed the initial 24-week study comparing gemigliptin monotherapy with placebo were eligible to enrol. In the open-label, 28-week extension study, all enrolled patients received gemigliptin, regardless of the treatment received during the initial 24-week study period.

A Multicentre, Open label, Randomized, Comparative, Parallel Group, Active-controlled, Phase III Clinical Trial to Evaluate Safety and Efficacy of Arbekacin Sulphate Injection versus Vancomycin Injection in Patients Diagnosed with MRSA Infection.

Background: Increasing resistance to currently available antimicrobials has led to the development of new agents. Arbekacin is aminoglycoside antibiotic currently used in Japan and Korea for the treatment of infections caused by multi-resistant bacteria including MRSA. Currently there is no published data available for use of Arbekacin in Indian patient population, thus the present study was conducted to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Arbekacin in Indian population.

Immunogenicity and safety of the first indigenously developed Indian tetravalent influenza vaccine (split virion) in healthy adults ≥ 18 years of age: A randomized, multicenter, phase II / III clinical trial.

This phase II / III clinical trial was conducted to evaluate the immunogenicity and safety of the Tetravalent Influenza vaccine (Split virion) I.P. (TetIV) developed indigenously in the country for the first time by M/s Cadila Healthcare Limited, India containing two influenza A and two influenza B strains, one of each, Yamagata (B/Phuket) and Victoria (B/Brisbane) lineage and also compare it to that of an licensed seasonal Trivalent Influenza vaccine (TriIV) of Sanofi Pasteur India Private Limited, containing the two influenza A and only the Yamagata lineage (B/Phuket) strain.
