Background: The separation of a file during pulpectomy is a rare incident in primary teeth due to inherently wider and relatively straighter root canals. A broken instrument hinders the clinician from optimal preparation and obturation of the root canal system invariably leading to failure, although in such teeth, an extraction followed by suitable space maintenance is considered as the treatment of choice. This case report demonstrates successful nonsurgical retrieval of a separated H file fragment in 84.

Tooth replacement in the esthetic zone presents a myriad of challenges for the clinician. An ovate pontic accurately duplicates the emergence profile of the natural tooth it replaces in order to provide an esthetic, yet cleansable prosthesis. The accurate transfer of this sculpted tissue beneath the pontic of the provisional restoration is critical to provide the dental laboratory technician with the necessary information to fabricate a definitive restoration with an appropriate emergence profile.

Complete dentures fabricated for edentulous patients with resorbed ridges generally have compromised retention and stability. The use of intramucosal inserts in order to aid retention of a maxillary denture has been reported in the past. Zirconia is a tissue compatible biomaterial whose scope and application in dentistry is on the rise.

Introduction: This study explored the relationship between the thickness of bone and soft tissue along the labial and palatal aspect of maxillary central incisors. The influence of overall socket width, labiopalatal positioning of the incisor on the bone, and soft tissue thickness were also investigated.
Materials And Methods: This study used cone-beam computed tomography of 150 patients to determine labial, palatal soft and hard tissue thickness, labiopalatal (B-P) socket width and corelated the same to the labiopalatal positioning of maxillary central incisors.

Abutment screw loosening has been reported to be the most common prosthetic complications occurring in screw retained as well as cement retained implant restorations. Different methods to treat this issue have been reported in the literature so far; however these have their own short-comings. Retrievability of an implant restoration intact becomes a clinical challenge when the restoration is cement retained especially with an angulated abutment.

Background: Microbial contamination of the pulp space is one of the major factors associated with endodontic failure. Thus, in addition to a three dimentional apical filling a coronal seal for root canal fillings has been recommended.
Aim: The present study was conducted to evaluate and compare the intra-orifice sealing ability of three experimental materials after obturation of the root canal system.

Patients with microstomia who need to wear removable dental prosthesis often face difficulty of being unable to insert or remove the prosthesis because of restricted opening of the oral cavity. Prosthetic rehabilitation of patients with microstomia presents difficulties in all the clinical steps. In such patients, it is difficult to make impressions and fabricate dentures using conventional method.

Periodontitis is an inflammatory disease caused by microbial infection that leads to destruction of supporting tissues of the teeth. The periodontal tissue destruction is a result of both microbial activity as well as host response. The best chance for clinical improvement may come from implementing complementary treatment strategies that target different aspects of the periodontal balance.

Background And Objectives: Research has shown that mechanical methods of periodontal therapy alone may fail to eliminate the tissue-invasive pathogenic flora; therefore, considerable attention has been given to adjunctive antimicrobial measures. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of diode laser as an adjunct to mechanical debridement in periodontal flap surgery, on the basis of clinical parameters and microbiological analysis.
Materials And Methods: A total of 30 patients with generalized chronic periodontitis with probing depth >5 mm after phase I therapy were included in the study.

This report describes a combined orthodontic and surgical treatment approach for a severe skeletal Class III malocclusion in a young Indian woman with serious esthetic concerns. The case required significant surgical correction in the anteroposterior and vertical planes, involving surgeries in both the maxilla and the mandible. The case required the use of mini-implant anchorage in the presurgical phase as well as postorthodontic prosthodontic rehabilitation to replace missing posterior teeth to restore the occlusal table.
