Background: In recent times, bioceramic calcium silicates have gained attention due to high success rates with pulpotomy in primary teeth.
Aims: To evaluate and compare the clinical and radiographic outcomes of three different bioceramic calcium silicate cements in vital deciduous teeth treated with pulpotomies over a period of 24 months.
Design: Children aged 4-9 years, with deep dentinal caries (ICDAS 4-6) in primary molars, having no history of spontaneous pain or signs of non-vitality were included in the study.

Background: Angiogenesis, the biological mechanism by which new blood vessels are generated from existing ones, plays a vital role in growth and development. Effective preclinical screening is necessary for the development of medications that may enhance or inhibit angiogenesis in the setting of different disorders. Traditional in vitro and, in vivo models of angiogenesis are laborious and time-consuming, necessitating advanced infrastructure for embryo culture.

Aim: To systematically review the existing scientific literature in providing a comprehensive, quantitative analysis on the prognostic ability of Cancer Associated Fibroblasts (CAFs) in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC) a novel meta-analysis.
Methods: Review was performed in accordance with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines and registered in PROSPERO - CRD CRD42023467899. Electronic databases were searched for studies having data on effect of CAFs on overall survival rate and disease prognosis in patients with OSCC, oral epithelial dysplasia (OED) compared to normal healthy controls.

Background: Adhesiveness with radicular dentin is absent with gutta-percha, leading to microleakage and hence re-infection. Root canal sealer helps to achieve an adhesive interface between gutta-percha and root dentin thereby resisting the displacement forces during the functioning of teeth which is evaluated by the push-out test. The aim of this study is to compare the push-out bond strength and to assess the relative bond failure between dentin-sealer, sealer-main cone of (1) epoxy resin, (2) silicon, (3) mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), (4) calcium hydroxide, (5) bioceramic, (6) zinc oxide eugenol containing root canal sealers.

It is of interest to compare guided bone regeneration (GBR) with titanium mesh, alveolar distraction osteo-genesis (DO), GBR with auto-genous bone and e-PTFE membranes and onlay bone grafts. This helps to restore vertically lacking alveolar ridges and their capacity to sustain the vertical bone growth acquired both prior to and following implant placement. The parameters such as (i) success and survival of dental implants (ii) peri-implant clinical parameters after prosthetic loading at 1 year, 2 year and 3 year follow up (iii) resorption of alveolar ridge regenerated before placement of dental implants and after placement of dental implants were assessed.

Coronal fractures of the anterior teeth give an agonizing experience for a young individual due to the physical disfigurement, and the psychological impact that is imposed on them. One of the options for managing complicated/uncomplicated crown fractures when the tooth fragment is available, and there is no or minimal violation of the biological width is the rebonding of the fractured segment. This treatment approach is promising, providing good and long-lasting esthetics as it helps in maintaining the tooth's original anatomic form, hue, and surface texture.

Recent evidence suggests the immense potential of human mesenchymal stem cell (hMSC) secretome conditioned medium-mediated augmentation of angiogenesis. However, angiogenesis potential varies from source and origin. The hMSCs derived from the oral cavity share an exceptional quality due to their origin from a hypoxic environment.

The present study aimed to assess the efficacy of photofunctionalization on commercially available dental implant surfaces in a high-glucose environment. Discs of three commercially available implant surfaces were selected with various nano- and microstructural alterations (Group 1-laser-etched implant surface, Group 2-titanium-zirconium alloy surface, Group 3-air-abraded, large grit, acid-etched surface). They were subjected to photo-functionalization through UV irradiation for 60 and 90 min.

Background: Abnormal angiogenesis hamper blood vessel proliferation implicated in various biological processes. The current method available to clinically treat patients to enhance angiogenesis is administering the angiogenic growth factors. However, due to a lack of spatiotemporal control over the substantial release of these factors, numerous drawbacks are faced such as leaky vasculature.

Maxillary premolar with an oval-shaped canal always poses a challenge while reconstruction using the post and core system. Fiber-post has many advantages over metallic-post and so fiber-post is becoming more popular and particularly widely used than metallic-post nowadays. Fiber-post has benefits of esthetic and strength, and its combination with flexible material, Ribbond has provided it with a high rise in the field of dentistry.
