Unlabelled: Results regarding the impact of bariatric surgery (BS) on food choices are inconsistent between studies based on self-reported questionnaires, and those using direct measurements. Moreover, the determinants of the modifications of food choices after BS, if any, are still poorly understood. This study compared food choices, food liking, microstructure of ingestive behavior and sensory perceptions between women who had BS in the last 18 months (BS group, n = 19; Roux-en-Y gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy) and women with BMI ≥35 kg m (OB group, n = 17) in ecological conditions and explored the associations of food choices with sensory perceptions and food liking.

(1) Background: Dysregulated serum amino acids (AA) are known to be associated with obesity and risk of Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) in adults, and recent studies support the same notion in the pubertal age. It is, however, unknown whether childhood overweight may already display alterations of circulating AA. (2) Methods: We used liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)-targeted metabolomics to determine plasma concentrations of AA and AA-related molecules in 36 children aged 7-12 years with normal weight or overweight.

Aggressive pituitary tumors are a subset of pituitary neoplasms, characterized by unusually fast growth rate, invasiveness and overall resistance to optimized standard treatment. When metastases are present, the term pituitary carcinoma is employed. After failure of standard treatments, current guidelines recommend first-line temozolomide monotherapy.

In patients admitted for acute myocardial infarction (MI), it has been demonstrated that reducing LDL cholesterol (LDL-c) is associated with a reduction in major adverse cardiovascular events. We describe a consensual proposal made by a French group of experts for lipid-lowering therapy at the acute phase of acute myocardial infarction. A group of French experts comprising cardiologists, lipidologists and general practitioners prepared a proposal for a lipid-lowering strategy with a view to optimizing LDL-c levels in patients hospitalized for myocardial infarction.

Like in many fields of medicine, the concept of precision dosing has re-emerged in routine practice in allergology. Only one retrospective study on French physicians' practice has addressed this topic so far and generated preliminary data supporting dose adaptation, mainly based on experience, patient profile understanding and response to treatment. Both intrinsic and extrinsic factors shape the individual immune system response to allergen immunotherapy (AIT).

Diagnosis of histiocytosis can be difficult and one of the biggest challenges is to distinguish between reactive and neoplastic histiocytes on histology alone. Recently, OCT2 nuclear expression was reported in Rosai-Dorfman disease (RDD). Our purpose was to expand the testing of OCT2 on a broader variety of sporadic or H syndrome-related histiocytoses.

Aims/hypothesis: Post-bariatric hypoglycaemia is an increasingly recognised complication of bariatric surgery, manifesting particularly after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. While hyperinsulinaemia is an established pathophysiological feature, the role of counter-regulation remains unclear. We aimed to assess counter-regulatory hormones and glucose fluxes during insulin-induced postprandial hypoglycaemia in patients with post-bariatric hypoglycaemia after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass vs surgical and non-surgical control individuals.

In the frame of radiotherapy treatment of cancer, radioresistance remains a major issue that still needs solutions to be overcome. To effectively improve the radiosensitivity of tumors and reduce the damage of radiation to neighboring normal tissues, radiosensitizers have been given increasing attention in recent years. As nanoparticles based on the metal element gadolinium, AGuIX nanoparticles have been shown to increase the radiosensitivity of cancers.
