Objectives: Catch-up saccades help to compensate for loss of gaze stabilization during rapid head rotation in case of vestibular deficit. While overt saccades observed after head rotation are obviously visually guided, some of these catch-up saccades occur with shorter latency while the head is still moving, anticipating the needed final eye position. These covert saccades seem to be generated based on the integration of multisensory inputs.

Background: SUNSHINE and SUNRISE demonstrated sustained clinical efficacy of secukinumab in patients with moderate-to-severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) through 52 weeks. Patients completing the core trials could enter a 4-year extension trial.
Objectives: To evaluate the long-term efficacy, safety/tolerability, and maintenance of clinical response of secukinumab through Week 104 in the extension trial.

Background: New highly effective drugs for moderate-to-severe cutaneous psoriasis are regularly marketed, and the hierarchy of treatments thus requires frequent review.
Objectives: A Delphi method was used to enable a structured expert consensus on the use of systemic treatments and phototherapy among adults with moderate-to-severe psoriasis.
Methods: The Delphi method consists in achieving a convergence of opinions among a panel of experts using several rounds of questionnaires with controlled feedback between rounds.

Introduction: To investigate the relationship between collaterals and blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability on pre-treatment MRI in a cohort of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients treated with thrombectomy.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of the HIBISCUS-STROKE cohort, a single-center observational study that enrolled patients treated with thrombectomy from 2016 to 2022. Dynamic-susceptibility MRIs were post-processed to generate K2 maps with arrival-time correction, which were co-registered with apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) maps.

Differentiating neoplastic from non-neoplastic spinal cord pathologies may be challenging due to overlapping clinical and radiological features. Spinal cord tumors, which comprise only 2-4% of central nervous system tumors, are rarer than non-tumoral myelopathies of inflammatory, vascular, or infectious origins. The risk of neurological deterioration and the high rate of false negatives or misdiagnoses associated with spinal cord biopsies require a cautious approach.

Background: Selective biomarkers may improve outcomes in patients with recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (R/M HNSCC) treated with immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy. We investigated three independent biomarkers for association with efficacy in the randomized, phase III KESTREL study (NCT02551159) of first-line durvalumab monotherapy or durvalumab plus tremelimumab versus the EXTREME regimen: programmed cell death ligand-1 (PD-L1) immunohistochemistry, blood tumor mutational burden (bTMB) via circulating tumor DNA, and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR).
Methods: Tumor or blood samples from patients enrolled in the KESTREL study were analyzed for PD-L1, bTMB, and NLR.

Yeast plasma-membrane Na/H antiporters (Nha/Sod) ensure the optimal intracellular level of alkali-metal cations and protons in cells. They are predicted to consist of 13 transmembrane segments (TMSs) and a large hydrophilic C-terminal cytoplasmic part with seven conserved domains. The substrate specificity, specifically the ability to recognize and transport K cations in addition to Na and Li, differs among homologs.

Torque Teno Virus (TTV) is a non-pathogenic virus that is highly prevalent among kidney transplant recipients (KTRs). Its circulating load is associated with an immunological status in KTR and is considered a promising tool for guiding immunosuppression. To allow for optimal guidance, it is important to identify other determinants of TTV load.

Alternating hemiplegia of childhood (AHC) is a rare neurodevelopment disorder that is typically characterized by debilitating episodic attacks of hemiplegia, seizures, and intellectual disability. Over 85% of individuals with AHC have a de novo missense variant in ATP1A3 encoding the catalytic α3 subunit of neuronal NaK ATPases. The remainder of the patients are genetically unexplained.

AMPA (α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazole propionic acid) receptors (AMPARs) mediate fast excitatory neurotransmission in the brain. AMPARs form by homo- or heteromeric assembly of subunits encoded by the GRIA1-GRIA4 genes, of which only GRIA3 is X-chromosomal. Increasing numbers of GRIA3 missense variants are reported in patients with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD), but only a few have been examined functionally.

Background: Papillary renal cell carcinoma (pRCC) is the most common non-clear cell RCC, and associated with poor outcomes in the metastatic setting. In this study, we aimed to comprehensively evaluate the immune tumor microenvironment (TME), largely unknown, of patients with metastatic pRCC and identify potential therapeutic targets.
Methods: We performed quantitative gene expression analysis of TME using Microenvironment Cell Populations-counter (MCP-counter) methodology, on two independent cohorts of localized pRCC (n=271 and n=98).

Background And Purpose: Early identification of the etiology of spontaneous acute intracerebral hemorrhage is essential for appropriate management. This study aimed to develop an imaging model to identify cavernoma-related hematomas.
Materials And Methods: Patients 1-55 years of age with acute (≤7 days) spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage were included.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the prognostic value of vascular hyperintensities on FLAIR images (VHF) at admission MRI in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) achieving successful recanalization after mechanical thrombectomy.
Materials And Methods: Patients with AIS treated by mechanical thrombectomy following admission MRI from the single-center HIBISCUS-STROKE cohort were assessed for eligibility. VHF were categorized using a four-scale classification and were considered poor when grade < 3 (i.

Purpose: To identify initial features associated with significant recovery in patients with Graves' disease dysthyroid optic neuropathy (DON) treated according to EUGOGO guidelines by intravenous glucocorticoids (ivGC) and decompression surgery in first and second-line, respectively.
Patients And Methods: Consecutive patients referred to our expert multidisciplinary consultation over a 6-year period underwent systematic exploration: endocrine assessment, ophthalmic examination and radiological exploration. Visual recovery, based on best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) and visual field (VF), were evaluated at baseline, 1week and 6months.

Purpose: Accurate quantification of ischemic core and ischemic penumbra is mandatory for late-presenting acute ischemic stroke. Substantial differences between MR perfusion software packages have been reported, suggesting that the optimal Time-to-Maximum (Tmax) threshold may be variable. We performed a pilot study to assess the optimal Tmax threshold of two MR perfusion software packages (A: RAPID; B: OleaSphere) by comparing perfusion deficit volumes to final infarct volumes as ground truth.
