Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to identify clinical factors affecting survival and treatment outcomes for patients with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL) and to create a new prognostic model for this disease.
  • An analysis of 231 AITL patients showed a median age of 63, with most in advanced stages, and the overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) were 17 months and 6 months, respectively.
  • The newly developed prognostic model categorizes patients into risk groups based on factors such as age and performance status, allowing for better prediction of survival outcomes, though there's still no clear consensus on the best initial treatment for AITL.

Background: Doxorubicin, bleomycin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine (ABVD) has been regarded as the standard treatment regimen for classical Hodgkin lymphoma. In recent years, ABVD-like regimens, which emerged due to shortages and the lung toxicity of bleomycin or the emergence of immune checkpoint inhibitors and antibody-drug conjugates, may be favorable, but have not yet been tested.

Methods: We compared the outcomes of ABVD with ABVD-like regimens, which include bleomycin was completely or partially omitted; meanwhile, etoposide or PD-1 inhibitors were added.

Background: Lymphoid neoplasms, including multiple myeloma (MM), non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), and NK/T cell neoplasms, are a major cause of blood cancer morbidity and mortality. CD38 (cyclic ADP ribose hydrolase) is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the surface of plasma cells and MM cells. The high expression of CD38 across MM and other lymphoid malignancies and its restricted expression in normal tissues make CD38 an attractive target for immunotherapy.
