Predictive Factors of ART Follow-Up Loss in HIV Patients (2018-2022): A Retrospective Cohort Study.

Loss to follow-up (LTFU) in antiretroviral therapy (ART) poses significant challenges in the management of HIV/AIDS. This study aims to identify socio-demographic and clinical factors influencing LTFU among patients undergoing ART in Luzhou, China, and to develop a predictive model for LTFU using Cox risk regression analysis. In this retrospective cohort study, data from 8,770 patients diagnosed with HIV infection between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2022 who were enrolled in the national free ART program were analyzed.

Factors influencing COVID-19 vaccination intentions and mediating effects among older adults in Southwest China.

This study examines the factors influencing COVID-19 vaccination intentions among Chinese residents over the age of 60, with a focus on the mediating roles of Health Beliefs and Cues to Vaccination Action in the relationship between vaccine knowledge and vaccination intentions. We conducted a cross-sectional online survey involving 1,305 participants from Southwest China. Multiple logistic regression analysis identified potential determinants of vaccination intention, including socioeconomic characteristics, knowledge, health beliefs, and cues to vaccination action.

Vaccination intentions of hypertensive Chinese individuals during the COVID-19 epidemic: a structural equation modeling study.

Objective: Given the high prevalence of hypertension among Chinese adults, this population is at a significantly increased risk of severe COVID-19 complications. The purpose of this study is to assess the willingness of Chinese hypertensive adults to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and to identify the diverse factors that shape their vaccination decisions.

Methods: Sampling was conducted utilizing multistage stratified random sampling, and ultimately, a total of 886 adult hypertensive patients from Luzhou City in Southwest China were included in this study.

Nomogram to predict central lymph node metastasis in papillary thyroid carcinoma.

Central lymph node metastasis (CLNM) of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is common. In our study, we built a nomogram to predict CLNM. We retrospectively analyzed 1,392 PTC patients.

Efficacy and safety of long-acting cabotegravir versus oral tenofovir disoproxil fumarate-emtricitabine as HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

WHO guidelines recommend daily oral tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) and emtricitabine (FTC) for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) of HIV in people at high risk of HIV infection. Psychological Resilience May Be Related to Students' Responses to Victims of School Bullying: A Cross-Sectional Study of Chinese Grade 3-5 Primary School Students.

Background: School bullying is a major public health problem with a large impact on children's health. There is an increasing number of cases of school bullying reported in China. Studies have shown that the health consequences of different ways of responding to school bullying may be quite different and that psychological resilience is also closely related to aggressive behaviors.

Gastric cancer incidence trends in China and Japan from 1990 to 2019: Disentangling age-period-cohort patterns.

Background: Recent data have shown divergent trends in gastric cancer (GC) incidence between China and Japan; however, the cause for has not been explored.

Methods: We retrieved GC incidence data from 1990 to 2019 from the Global Burden of Disease study, stratified by sex for both countries. We analyzed annual average percentage change (AAPC) via a joinpoint regression model and estimated the effects of age, period, and cohort via the age-period-cohort model.

An exploratory transmission mode of HIV/AIDS among older people based on data from multiple sources in China.

The HIV/AIDS cases and proportion in older people are continuously and rapidly increasing in China, especially in males. However, the transmission mechanism is not well understood. This study aims to explore the transmission mechanism of HIV/AIDS and potential ways to prevent or control HIV/AIDS transmission in a city in southwestern China.

The Distribution of HIV and AIDS Cases in Luzhou, China, From 2011 to 2020: Bayesian Spatiotemporal Analysis.

Background: The vastly increasing number of reported HIV and AIDS cases in Luzhou, China, in recent years, coupled with the city's unique geographical location at the intersection of 4 provinces, makes it particularly important to conduct a spatiotemporal analysis of HIV and AIDS cases.

Objective: The aim of this study is to understand the spatiotemporal distribution of HIV and the factors influencing this distribution in Luzhou, China, from 2011 to 2020.

Methods: Data on the incidence of HIV and AIDS in Luzhou from 2011 to 2020 were obtained from the AIDS Information Management System of the Luzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Dynamic response landscape of immune cells identified immune dysfunction which predicts disease progression in COVID-19 infected patients.

During the development of COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection from mild disease to severe disease, it can trigger a series of complications and stimulate a strong cellular and humoral immune response. However, the precise identification of blood immune cell response dynamics and the relevance to disease progression in COVID-19 patients remains unclear. We propose for the first time to use changes in cell numbers to establish new subgroups, which were divided into four groups: first from high to low cell number (H_L_Group), first from low to high (L_H_Group), continuously high (H_Group), and continuously low (L_Group).

Pneumoconiosis computer aided diagnosis system based on X-rays and deep learning.

Purpose: The objective of this study is to construct a computer aided diagnosis system for normal people and pneumoconiosis using X-raysand deep learning algorithms.

Materials And Methods: 1760 anonymous digital X-ray images of real patients between January 2017 and June 2020 were collected for this experiment. In order to concentrate the feature extraction ability of the model more on the lung region and restrain the influence of external background factors, a two-stage pipeline from coarse to fine was established.

SARS-CoV-2 Seroprevalence and Profiles Among Convalescents in Sichuan Province, China.

To explore and understand the SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence of convalescents, the association between antibody levels and demographic factors, and the seroepidemiology of convalescents of COVID-19 till March 2021. We recruited 517 voluntary COVID-19 convalescents in Sichuan Province and collected 1,707 serum samples till March 2021. Then we reported the seroprevalence and analyzed the associated factors.

Delivery of infection from asymptomatic carriers of COVID-19 in a familial cluster.

Objectives: With the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19 around the world, it has become a worldwide health concern. One previous study reported a family cluster with an asymptomatic transmission of COVID-19. Here, we report another series of cases and further demonstrate the repeatability of the transmission of COVID-19 by pre-symptomatic carriers.

An Application-based programme to reinforce and maintain lower salt intake (AppSalt) in schoolchildren and their families in China.

Introduction: Salt intake is very high in China, with ≈80% being added by the consumers. It is difficult to reduce salt in such settings. Our previous study (School-based Education programme to reduce Salt(School-EduSalt)) demonstrated that educating schoolchildren, who then instructed their families to reduce the amount of salt used at home, is effective in lowering salt intake in both children and adults.
