Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ZX-7101A: an inhibitor of influenza viral cap-dependent endonuclease, in adults with uncomplicated influenza and explore treatment-emergent resistance.
Methods: We conducted a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, adaptive-design phase 2 and phase 3 studies (ZX-7101A-202) in adults with uncomplicated influenza. Eligible patients were randomized 1:1:1 to receive a single dose of 40 or 80 mg ZX-7101A or placebo, stratified by body weight and baseline composite symptom score.

Background: Focal cortical dysplasia (FCD) is one of the most important pathogenic findings in patients with extratemporal lobe epilepsy. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-negative is the most important negative factor to predict postoperative seizure freedom; however, FCD-I and part of FCD-IIa are MRI-negative on routine MRI.
Objectives: To explore the diagnostic values of 7T MRI and its new scan sequences in epilepsy patients with FCD-IIa.

Background: Increasing lncRNAs are found to be involved in the biological process of multiple cancer types. Herein, we aimed to reveal the role of LOXL1-AS1 in endometrial cancer (EC) progression.
Methods: Tumor and corresponding normal tissues were obtained from EC patients.

Background: This study aims to investigate the correlation between premature coronary heart disease (pCHD) and both serum homocysteine (Hcy) and hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP).
Methods: A total of 170 patients with pCHD were enrolled in this study from June 2014 to April 2016 (including 52 patients with stable angina pectoris [SAP], 70 patients with unstable angina pectoris [UAP], and 48 patients with acute myocardial infarction [AMI]), together with 105 healthy controls (CON) selected at the same period, to observe the changes of Hcy and hs-CRP in CHD patients and those with different types of CHD.
Results: The levels of serum Hcy and hs-CRP in group pCHD were significantly higher than in group CON (P < .

Characteristics of pulmonary infection after mitral valve repair in patients with metabolic syndrome (MS) and its relationships with blood pressure, blood glucose and blood lipid were investigated. Clinical data of 126 patients were retrospectively analyzed, and patients were divided into infection group (n=19) and non-infection group (n=107). The differences of MS components in patients between the two groups were compared, and the distribution of pathogens and related factors of pulmonary infection were analyzed.

Objective: MiRNAs play crucial roles in progression of cancer. However, the underlying mechanisms of miRNAs in non small cell lung cancer are still poorly understood. The aim of this study was to investigate the expression level of microRNA-126 (miR-126) and microRNA-133b (miR-133b) and also their association with clinicopathological features in patients with non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

We examined mRNA expression levels of ERCC1, BRCA1, RRM1, and human β-tubulin-III (TUBB3) in non-small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) patients and investigated the association between expression of these genes and the clinical outcome of NSCLC treatment. A total of 366 patients who underwent surgery for NSCLC were included in this study. All patients received third-generation platinum-based chemotherapy as first-line treatment.
