Endometrial cancer is the most common gynecological cancers in developed countries. Many of the mechanisms involved in its initiation and progression remain unclear. Analysis providing comprehensive data on the genome, transcriptome, proteome, and epigenome could help in selecting molecular markers and targets in endometrial cancer.

BACKGROUND The supplementary treatment of burns with enzymatic debridement with Nexobrid® was approved in Europe in 2013. The 2017 European consensus guidelines on the removal of eschar in burns by bromelain-based enzymatic debridement were updated in 2020. This questionnaire-based study aimed to obtain a consensus from 5 Polish burns centers on eschar removal by Nexobrid® in burns following the 2020 updated European consensus guidelines.

Neurological Complications of Biological Treatment of Psoriasis.

In the available literature, little attention has been paid to the assessment of psoriasis and the biological therapy used for it and the nervous system. The purpose of this article is to discuss the relationship between psoriasis and the nervous system as well as to analyze the mechanisms that lead to neurological complications during anticytokine therapies in psoriasis. However, this connection requires further analysis.

The goal of the study was to assess changes in parameters based on ultrasound examinations-these were Crown Rump Length (CRL), Nuchal Translucency (NT), Fetal Heart Rate (FHR), and Pulsatility Index for Ductus Venosus (DV-PI)-in the first trimester of pregnancy in women in which there was a natural initiation of the pregnancy due to spontaneous ovulation, women in which the pregnancy was initiated as a result of stimulated ovulation, as well as in the group in which pregnancy was achieved through the use of In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF)-assisted reproduction. A total of 1581 women became pregnant without the use of assisted reproduction methods. Out of 283 pregnancies, in 178 patients, induced ovulation was utilized.

Functional Changes of the Genitourinary and Gastrointestinal Systems before and after the Treatment of Endometrial Cancer-A Systematic Review.

Treatment includes surgery as well as brachytherapy, teletherapy, rarely chemotherapy or hormone therapy. Due to the good results of the treatment, the occurrence of side effects of therapy becomes a problem for the patients.

Variances in the Expression of mRNAs and miRNAs Related to the Histaminergic System in Endometrioid Endometrial Cancer.

This article summarises activity of the Replantation Service for hand amputations in Poland in years 2017-2019. Over this period a total of 551 cases of total and subtotal amputations as well as other complex injuries to the hand were referred to the referenced centres. Of these, 330 referrals were accepted and 221 rejected, for various reasons.

Microbiological effects in patients with leg ulcers and diabetic foot treated with Lucilia sericata larvae.

Lucilia sericata bottle fly worms can be used to heal infected, chronic, or necrotic wounds, including those associated with ulceration and diabetic foot. The study aimed to evaluate changes in the microflora in patients treated with L sericata larvae due to leg ulcers and diabetic foot. One hundred twenty-nine patients diagnosed with lower limb ulceration and diabetic foot were enrolled in the study, of which 80 of them met the eligibility criteria for maggot debridement therapy (MDT).

This work aimed to assess the influence of oncological combination therapy that was done on endometrial or ovarian cancer and how the urinary system is influenced as well as the quality of life in comparison to a group of female patients after the removal of the uterus with appendages due to endometrial cancer, which did not require the supplementation of therapy after operative treatment. The study included 87 patients with endometrial cancer, where, after the removal of the uterus, there was no need for conducting adjuvant therapy (C), as well as 92 female patients with endometrial cancer or 38 patients with ovarian cancer in whom combination therapy was conducted (group A, B). The assessment of the quality of life was conducted using the questionnaires: Satisfaction Life Scale (SWLS), Incontinence Impact Questionnaire, Short Form (IIQ-7), and Urogenital Distress Inventory (UDI-6) for three, six, nine, and 12 months after the conclusion of oncological treatment.

From the beginning of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, special attention has been paid to pregnant women and to monitoring comorbidities, such as gestational diabetes and hypertension, which could increase their risk of disease and death. The purpose of this review is to synthesize the available knowledge on the course of COVID-19 in pregnant women as well as the risk of maternal-fetal transmission. The study indicated that the course of COVID-19 is worse in pregnant women who are more often admitted to intensive care units or who require mechanical ventilation than nonpregnant women with COVID-19.
