Purpose: To evaluate how build orientation affects the fabrication trueness of additively manufactured implant-supported complete arch prostheses by comparing them to subtractively manufactured high-impact polymer-based prostheses.
Materials And Methods: An edentulous maxillary model with four implants at canine and first molar regions bilaterally was digitized (ATOS Core 80 5MP) to design a reference implant-supported complete arch prosthesis standard tessellation language file (RF-STL). The STL file was used to manufacture prostheses additively in five different orientations according to the build platform (AM-0, 0-degree; AM-15, 15-degree; AM-30, 30-degree; AM-45, 45-degree; AM-90, 90-degree) or subtractively (SM-HIP, control) (n = 10).

Objective: Provisionalization is an important step to achieve esthetic results in implant cases, and many different techniques for provisional restoration fabrication have been described. However, depending on the clinical scenario, the provisionalization strategy will require different approaches and timing. The clinician should modify the provisional restorations efficiently to reduce the number of disconnections from the implant, as repeated disconnections may have biological consequences.

Background: During facelift surgery, anterior platysmaplasty (AP) has been used for decades, but it limits lateral advancement and can induce contour irregularities. Radiofrequency (RF)-assisted-liposuction in the anterior neck can avoid these disadvantages by tightening skin without open surgery.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to compare the esthetic outcomes of facelift surgery with those of AP and RF.

Background: With time, due to the poor knowledge on it epidemiology, the need to focus on awake bruxism as a complement of sleep studies emerged.
Objective: In line with a similar recent proposal for sleep bruxism (SB), defining clinically oriented research routes to implement knowledge on awake bruxism (AB) metrics is important for an enhanced comprehension of the full bruxism spectrum, that is better assessment and more efficient management.
Methods: We summarised current strategies for AB assessment and proposed a research route for improving its metrics.

Objective: Emulating natural dentition with dental implant restorations is challenging, increasing its complexity when a pontic area must be restored. Many different methods have been described to solve this problem. The pontic designs which have been proposed have specific indications and may require additional treatments, including soft tissue augmentation procedures, to increase the possibility of an esthetically pleasing and biologically tolerable outcome.

Fungal sinusitis of the paranasal sinuses is a rare infection in healthy individuals but is relatively common in immunocompromised patients. It is often misdiagnosed and frequently a severe disease, as a few forms of it are linked with a higher mortality rate. Effective handling necessitates a speedy analysis and often counts on radiological findings.

Immediate implant placement protocols after dental extraction have enabled a reduction in surgical phases. This procedure has increased patient satisfaction and similar survival rates to late implant placement procedures. However, placing an implant immediately after dental extraction does not counteract the physiological remodeling of alveolar bone.

Background: Although localized aggressive periodontitis (LAP), generalized aggressive periodontitis (GAP), and chronic periodontitis (CP) are microbially driven diseases, our inability to separate disease-specific associations from those common to all three forms of periodontitis has hampered biomarker discovery. Therefore, we aimed to map the genomic content of, and the biological pathways encoded by, the microbiomes associated with these clinical phenotypes. We also estimated the extent to which these biomes are governed by the Anna Karenina principle (AKP), which states that eubiotic communities are similar between individuals while disease-associated communities are highly individualized.

One clinical problem when augmenting a narrow or vertically deficient ridge is maintenance of the graft position during the immediate healing phase and preservation of the augmentation over time. The use of Tisseel (Baxter, Deerfield, IL), a fibrin sealant product, to stabilize particulate grafts, has been reported, and we have reviewed its use. Fibrinogen is converted to fibrin and forms a fibular network that binds the particulate graft.
