Centre for Lipid Research & Chongqing Key Laboratory of Metabolism on Lipid and Glucose, Key Laboratory of Molecular Biology for Infectious Diseases (Ministry of Education), Institute for Viral Hepatitis, Department of Infectious Diseases, the Second Affiliated Hospital, Chongqing Medical University, Chongqing 400016, China.

The mammalian circadian clock and glucose metabolism are highly interconnected, and disruption of this coupling is associated with multiple negative health outcomes. Liver is the major source of endogenous glucose production and liver clock is one of the most vital peripheral clock systems. We demonstrate that fatty acid translocase (CD36) is expressed rhythmically in mouse liver and autonomously modulates the diurnal oscillations of liver clock and glucose homeostasis.

Centre for Lipid Research & Key Laboratory of Molecular Biology for Infectious Diseases (Ministry of Education), Institute for Viral Hepatitis, Department of Infectious Diseases, the Second Affiliated Hospital, Chongqing Medical University, Chongqing, 400016, China.

Sterol regulatory element-binding protein (SREBP) cleavage-activating protein (SCAP) is indispensable in organ development because it maintains intracellular cholesterol homeostasis. The vessel is not widely conceived of as a cholesterol-sensitive tissue, so the specific role of SCAP in angiogenesis has not been paid attention to. As an important component of the vascular mesoderm, vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) are widely involved in each step of angiogenesis.

Hypothesis: Reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) has become an increasingly popular treatment option for proximal humerus fractures in the elderly. There is however contradictory evidence on the impact of timing of RSA on patient outcomes. It remains unclear if poor results after initial nonsurgical or surgical management can be improved with delayed RSA.

Centre for Lipid Research & Chongqing Key Laboratory of Metabolism on Lipid and Glucose, Key Laboratory of Molecular Biology for Infectious Diseases (Ministry of Education), Institute for Viral Hepatitis, Department of Infectious Diseases, the Second Affiliated Hospital, Chongqing Medical University, Chongqing, China.

Macroautophagy/autophagy plays a protective role in sepsis-induced liver injury. As a member of class B scavenger receptors, CD36 plays important roles in various disorders, such as atherosclerosis and fatty liver disease. Here we found that the expression of CD36 in hepatocytes was increased in patients and a mouse model with sepsis, accompanied by impaired autophagy flux.

Background: Stereo-electroencephalography (SEEG) and magnetoencephalography (MEG) have generally been used independently as part of the pre-surgical evaluation of drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE) patients. However, the possibility of simultaneously employing these recording techniques to determine whether MEG has the potential of offering the same information as SEEG less invasively, or whether it could offer a greater spatial indication of the epileptogenic zone (EZ) to aid surgical planning, has not been previously evaluated.

Methods: Data from 24 paediatric and adult DRE patients, undergoing simultaneous SEEG and MEG as part of their pre-surgical evaluation, was analysed employing manual and automated high-frequency oscillations (HFOs) detection, and spectral and source localisation analyses.
