Hemodialysis catheter insertion is a common practice for the patients with renal failure. There are several complications associated with hemodialysis catheter insertion such as infection, catheter thrombosis, malposition, or vein stenosis; however, loss of guidewire during catheter insertion with its migration is a rare complication. We report the case of a 75-year-old male with forgotten displaced guidewire which came out spontaneously from the skull in the occipital region, three years after the hemodialysis.

Background: The knowledge of normal anatomy of glenoid in a population has relevance in terms of comparison with other regional and national population. Furthermore, it could enable clinicians to judge whether the available sizes of reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA) prosthesis could provide optimal fit for the glenoid in Indian patients.
Methods: We evaluated consecutive 200 3-dimensional chest CT scans of 50 male and 50 female patients which included both shoulder joints and done for non-orthopaedic diseases at a tertiary care institute.

Introduction: Acute-on-Chronic liver failure (ACLF) is a disease with a distinct spectrum of liver injury, with a rapid downhill course Here we describe three new scores - Albumin Bilirubin Index (ALBI), platelet albumin bilirubin index (PALBI) and Lactate-free AARC ACLF score(LaFAS), in predicting short-term mortality in patients with alcohol induced ACLF when compared to standard validated scores.
Methods: Consecutive patients diagnosed as alcohol induced ACLF as per the APASL 2014 definition were included in the study. Standard scores - MELD, MELD-Na, Maddreys' discriminant function, CLIF-OF and CLIF-C ACLF scores, APACHE II, ALBI, PALBI and LaFAS were calculated.

Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of recombinant anti-D (R-anti-D) with conventional polyclonal anti-D (Poly anti-D) in preventing maternal-fetal rhesus D (RhD) alloimmunization and to investigate the immunogenicity of R-anti-D.
Methods: This was a randomized, open-label, multi-center clinical trial conducted in RhD-negative pregnant women who did not receive antenatal anti-D who delivered RhD-positive babies and showed negative indirect Coombs tests (ICTs) at baseline. The women were randomized in a 2:1 ratio to R-anti-D or Poly anti-D groups and were administered 300 mcg (IM) of the corresponding drug within 72 hours of delivery.
