Intraoperative bleeding poses a substantial challenge, particularly in neuro-spine surgeries leading to complications such as hematomas, infections, and hemodynamic instability. Despite their proven efficacy, use of topical hemostatic agents (THAs) lacks comprehensive published literature and guidelines particularly in the Indian setting. Extra-abdominal fibromatosis is an uncommon, benign locally aggressive fibrous soft-tissue tumor that usually occurs in the shoulders, chest wall, back, thigh, and head and neck affecting the young adult population. Hypocalcaemia is a frequently encountered electrolyte abnormality in neonates and it is mostly transient. However, persistent hypocalcaemia can point towards an endocrine abnormality like hypoparathyroidism, which is usually due to genetic disorders like DiGeorge and Kearns Sayre syndrome or due to mutations of genes like GCM2, CaSR and PTH.Our patient was a female child, who presented with hypocalcaemic convulsions in the neonatal period.

An initial pre-operative plan was hard palate removal with complete tumour clearance trans-orally with iatrogenic oro-nasal fistula with rehabilitation to be done with obturator for closure of fistula and dentures to aid chewing.
