Psoriasis is a complex inflammatory skin disease manifested by altered proliferation and differentiation of keratinocytes with dysfunctional apoptosis. This study aimed to identify regulatory factors and comprehend the underlying mechanisms of inefficient apoptosis to open up promising therapeutic approaches. Incorporating human protein interactions, apoptosis proteins, and physical relationships of psoriasis-apoptosis proteins helped us to generate a psoriasis-apoptosis interaction (SAI) network.

Objectives: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a major opportunistic pathogen responsible for a wide range of infections. The emergence of antibiotic resistance in this pathogen poses a significant public health challenge. This study aims to conduct a comprehensive meta-analysis of studies conducted in Iran to determine the frequency of key antibiotic resistance mechanisms in Pseudomonas aeruginosa and their association with multidrug-resistant and extensively drug-resistant strains or pandrug-resistant strains.

Introduction: It is well known that peripheral artery disease (PAD) and coronary artery disease (CAD) coexist and therefore, patients diagnosed with PAD have an increased chance of developing concomitant CAD. CAD-related complications could be a leading cause of postoperative mortality in individuals with PAD undergoing vascular surgery. We present a case series of 48 patients who underwent coronary angiography before vascular surgery and an updated review of previous reports to determine the prevalence of concomitant CAD in a convenience sample of Iranian patients.

Backgrounds And Objective: Statins, inhibitors of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase, are pivotal in managing hypercholesterolemia and reducing cardiovascular risk. While rosuvastatin demonstrates superior efficacy and tolerability compared to other statins, its safety profile in elderly patients older than 75 years old with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) remains underexplored. So, the objective of this study is to evaluate the frequency of adverse reactions and investigate the efficacy of high-dose rosuvastatin on lipid profiles in elderly patients aged over 75 with ACS.

Introduction: This study measures the COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness (CVE) against hospital admission and severe COVID-19.
Methods: This study is a test-negative case-control design using data from eight provinces in April, 2021 until March, 2022. The individuals were classified as cases and controls based on the results of the RT-PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 and matched based on the timing of the test being conducted as well as the timing of hospital admission.

A zoonotic disease called brucellosis can cause flu-like symptoms and heart inflammation. The bacteria responsible for this disease can also enter the brain, causing a condition called neurobrucellosis that can result in long-term neurological problems. In this study, researchers aimed to determine the changes in the hippocampal cells of rats infected with Brucella.

Background And Objective: Autosomal recessive genetic disorders pose significant health challenges in regions where consanguineous marriages are prevalent. The utilization of exome sequencing as a frequently employed methodology has enabled a clear delineation of diagnostic efficacy and mode of inheritance within multiplex consanguineous families. However, these aspects remain less elucidated within simplex families.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive disease that causes an impairment of learning and memory. Despite the highly complex pathogenesis of AD, amyloid beta (Aβ) deposition and neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs) formation are the main hallmarks of AD. Neuroinflammation also has a crucial role in the development of AD.

Synaptic plasticity is believed to underlie the cellular and molecular basis of memory formation. Mitochondria are one of the main organelles involved in metabolism and energy maintenance as plastic organelles that change morphologically and functionally in response to cellular needs and regulate synaptic function and plasticity through multiple mechanisms, including ATP generation, calcium homeostasis, and biogenesis. An increased neuronal activity enhances synaptic efficiency, during which mitochondria's spatial distribution and morphology change significantly.

Huntington's disease (HD) is a scarce neurodegenerative disorder defined by chorea (unusual involuntary movements), behavioral presentations, psychiatric features, and cognitive deterioration. Although the precise pathogenic mechanism behind HD has not yet been identified, the most widely acknowledged pathways include excitotoxicity, mitochondrial malfunction, neuroinflammation, neurochemical imbalance, oxidative stress, and apoptosis HD has no efficient therapy. Current medications have drawbacks.

Background: Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) patients are at risk of thromboembolic events, making thromboprophylaxis crucial.
Objectives: This study aimed to compare apixaban, a direct factor Xa inhibitor (DOAC), with dalteparin and unfractionated heparin for thromboprophylaxis in HSCT recipients. The safety outcome included the assessment of hemorrhagic events.

Background: Episodes of recurrent or severe hypoglycemia can occur in patients with diabetes mellitus, insulinoma, neonatal hypoglycemia, and medication errors. However, little is known about the short-term and long-term effects of repeated episodes of acute severe hypoglycemia on the brain, particularly in relation to hippocampal damage and cognitive dysfunction.
Methods: Thirty-six wistar rats were randomly assigned to either the experimental or control group.

Introduction: Foreign body ingestion can lead to esophageal complications, including perforation and impaction, in up to 20% of cases, making it a critical situation. Misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis can cause severe complications.
Case Presentation: We present the case of a 78-year-old female who swallowed an acrylic partial denture leading to progressive dysphagia and a vegetative ulcerative lesion on endoscopy.
Key Clinical Message: Rituximab-induced serum sickness (RISS) is a rare complication of Rituximab (RTX) in immunobullous disorders. Clinicians should be aware of the occurrence of serum sickness symptoms during RTX administration, and prompt initiation of corticosteroid therapy is crucial in these patients. Additionally, RISS may occur with subsequent RTX doses and patients should be counseled accordingly.

The need for intubation in methanol-poisoned patients, if not predicted in time, can lead to irreparable complications and even death. Artificial intelligence (AI) techniques like machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) greatly aid in accurately predicting intubation needs for methanol-poisoned patients. So, our study aims to assess Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) for predicting intubation necessity in methanol-poisoned patients, comparing deep learning and machine learning models.
