The morphology and physicochemical properties of electrochemically deposited CaP coatings depend on the applied process parameters; however, the influence of different electrode systems has not been studied so far. In this work, the possibility of electrochemical deposition of CaP coatings on Ti6Al7Nb alloy using different electrode systems (two-electrode and three-electrode) and the influence of the electrode system and selected ranges of deposition parameters on the properties of the deposited CaP coatings were investigated. The morphology and physicochemical properties of the CaP coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and corrosion studies.

The main aim of this study is probabilistic computer simulation of the effective physical parameters of fluids containing nanoparticles. A deterministic model following the rule of mixtures and some semi-empirical formulas are employed to calculate effective density, heat conductivity, heat capacity, as well as viscosity for the given nanofluid. This models is randomized here using the Monte-Carlo simulation apparatus for estimation of the Shannon entropy of all these physical parameters, which is the crucial novelty of this study.

In response to growing demand for functional, minimally processed foods and rising energy costs, various brewing conditions for low-temperature green tea production were explored as an alternative to high-temperature processing. Optimal polyphenol extraction was achieved at 85 °C for 30 min using distilled water and finely ground leaves (< 500 μm). Although similar conditions are recommended for tap water, this resulted in a tremendous reduction in both catechin yields and antioxidant capacity (AC), as determined by spectrophotometric and chromatographic analyses.

Photocycloreversion reactions of three diarylethene derivatives whose structures differ only in the placement of two sulfur atoms in the cyclopentene rings are investigated. Despite the minuscule differences between the molecules, both the yields and times of the photoreactions vary considerably. Using UV-vis and infrared femtosecond spectroscopy and quantum chemical dynamics simulations, we elucidate the relationships among the quantum yield, electronic and vibrational relaxation time, and structural properties of the dithienylethene photoswitches.

In this study, ten recovered water samples were analysed using gamma spectrometry and Liquid Scintillation Counting techniques for identification of radioactive impurities (quality and quantity) and for radioactive waste qualifications. The presence of several radioactive isotopes of H, Co Mn in the recovered [O] water irradiated with 11 MeV protons used to produce [F] fluoride by the O(p,n)F reaction has been confirmed. Radioactive impurities were generated directly in enriched water or washed out from activated Havar foil, or tantalum body target material.

The higher-order stochastic finite volume method (SFVM), implemented according to the iterative generalized stochastic perturbation technique and the Monte Carlo scheme, are engaged for this purpose. This study investigates the structure-property relationships of a series of phenylhydrazones bearing various electron-donating and electron-withdrawing substituents, such as methoxy, dimethylamino, morpholinyl, hydroxyl, chloro, bromo, and nitro groups. This work is focused on the impact of temperature and deformation on the mechanical properties, specifically the elastic modulus () of the amorphous regions in semicrystalline polymers, using polypropylene as a case study. It has been shown that increasing temperature results in an decrease due to the enhanced mobility of polymer chains, triggered by the activation of α relaxation processes within the crystalline component. Consequently, rising temperature reduces the "stiffening" effect of the crystalline regions on the interlamellar layers.
