Multiple sclerosis (MS) unfavorably affects working capacity. The Comprehensive International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health Core Set for MS (cICF-MS), issued by the World Health Organization, has not yet been extended to evaluate working capacity level (WCL). To evaluate the relative importance of cICF-MS categories in relation to WCL.

Background: Prompts offer a promising strategy to promote client engagement in internet-delivered cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT). However, if the prompts do not meet the needs of clients, they can potentially be more obtrusive rather than helpful.
Objective: The aim of this study was to test if prompts tailored based on timing and frequency, aligned with preintervention goal setting, can increase usage and the efficacy of a therapist-supported ICBT stress recovery intervention for health care workers.

Microbiome analysis has become a crucial tool for basic and translational research due to its potential for translation into clinical practice. However, there is ongoing controversy regarding the comparability of different bioinformatic analysis platforms and a lack of recognized standards, which might have an impact on the translational potential of results. This study investigates how the performance of different microbiome analysis platforms impacts the final results of mucosal microbiome signatures.

Background: Telomere length is an important indicator of biological age and a complex multi-factor trait. To date, the telomere interactome for comprehending the high-dimensional biological aspects linked to telomere regulation during childhood remains unexplored. Here we describe the multi-omics signatures associated with childhood telomere length.

Background: Concurrent exercise (CE), an emerging exercise modality characterized by sequential bouts of aerobic (AE) and resistance exercise (RE), has demonstrated acute benefits on executive functions (EFs) and neuroelectric P3 amplitude. However, the effect of acute CE on inhibitory control, a sub-component of EFs, and P3 amplitude remains inconclusive. Moreover, exploring the mechanisms underlying the effects of acute exercise on EFs contributes to scientific comprehension, with lactate recognized as a crucial candidate positively correlated with EFs.

Self-regulation is linked to the ability to learn successfully, adapt to change, and project one's future behavior. This study aims to evaluate the impact of metacognitive strategies on self-regulation skills in the creation of educational content. Nine expert sports coaches participated in the research, and a mixed-methodology research plan was used to conduct the research.

Background: Data sharing accelerates scientific progress and improves evidence quality. Even though journals and funding institutions require investigators to share data, only a small part of studies made their data publicly available upon publication. The procedures necessary to share retrospective data for re-use in secondary data analysis projects can be cumbersome.

Background: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the most lethal forms of cancer, and despite low incidence rates, it remains the sixth leading cause of cancer related deaths worldwide. Immunotherapy, which aims to enhance the immune system's ability to recognize and eliminate cancer cells, has emerged as a promising approach in the battle against PDAC. PARP7, a mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase, is a negative regulator of the type I interferon (IFN-I) pathway and has been reported to reduce anti-tumour immunity.

Over the last few decades, climate change in Svalbard (European Arctic) has led to the emergence and growth of periglacial coastal lagoons in the place of retreating glaciers. In these emerging water bodies, new ecosystems are formed, consisting of elements presumably entering the lagoon from the melting glacier, the surrounding tundra water bodies and the coastal ocean. The data presented here were collected from an emerging lagoon in the western region of Spitsbergen, Svalbard, situated between the retreating Eidembreen Glacier and Eidembukta Bay in 2022-2023.

PARP inhibitors (PARPi) have been shown to improve progression-free survival, particularly in homologous recombination deficient (HRD) ovarian cancers. Identifying patients eligible to PARPi is currently based on next-generation sequencing (NGS), but the persistence of genomic scars in tumors after restoration of HR or epigenetic changes can be a limitation. Functional assays could thus be used to improve this profiling and faithfully identify HRD tumors.

Owing to critical policy significance, a growing body of literature has been predominantly concentrating on the social welfare benefits brought by green finance (GF) initiatives. However, there is a paucity of research that quantifies the economic costs of GF initiatives on carbon reduction, raising the increasing concerns about the irreconcilable climate-economy trade-offs. To end this, the present study systematically investigates the influence of GF initiatives on the carbon-related marginal abatement cost (MAC) using two competing hypotheses: regulatory versus technical effects.

The search for neuroprotective compounds in lavender is driven by its traditional use for brain health, with antioxidant activity serving as a key mechanism in reducing oxidative stress and supporting cognitive function. Lavender's potential to protect neurons is based on its calming, anti-stress properties, which increase the brain's resistance to neurodegeneration. Although lavender is not a traditional medicinal plant in Ukraine, it is increasingly recognised for its medicinal properties and is widely cultivated in the country.
