Objective: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains a significant public health challenge in China. Accurate perception of individual CVD risk is crucial for timely intervention and preventive strategies. This study aimed to determine the alignment between CVD risk perception levels and objectively calculated CVD risk levels, then investigate the disparity in physical activity and healthy diet habits among distinct CVD risk perception categories.

Background: The neurolytic celiac plexus block (NCPB) can be introduced through the posterior para-aortic, anterior para-aortic, posterior transaortic, or endoscopic anterior para-aortic puncture approach, as well as the posterior approach via the intervertebral disc. To reduce the complications of puncture, this block's original manual blind puncture technique can be improved upon by using a C-arm fluoroscope, computed tomography (CT), or an ultrasound, the last of which may be endoscopic.
Objective: To observe the distribution of absolute alcohol and its analgesic effect on cancer-induced upper abdominal visceral pain during percutaneous NCPB through the anterior and posterior diaphragmatic crura under CT guidance.

Inducing death receptor 5 (DR5) clustering holds particular promise in tumor-specific therapeutics because it could trigger an apoptotic cascade in cancerous cells. Herein, we present a tumor microenvironment HO-responsive self-illuminating nanoagonist, which could induce dual tumor cell death pathways through enhancing DR5 clustering. By conjugating DR5 ligand peptides onto the surfaces of self-illuminating nanoparticles with cross-linking capacity, this strategy not only provides scaffolds for ligands to bind receptors but also cross-links them through photo-cross-linking.

Background And Purpose: The benefits of thrombolytic therapy before endovascular thrombectomy in cases of acute ischaemic stroke, with a large infarction volume, remain unclear. This analysis aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of bridging therapy and endovascular therapy among patients with large cerebral infarctions.
Methods: In this post-hoc analysis of the multicentre prospective study of ANGEL-ASPECT (Acute Anterior Circulation Large Vessel Occlusive Patients with a Large Infarct Core), participants were divided into two groups: an endovascular therapy group and a bridging therapy group.

: To determine the impact of dietary protein intake and protein sources on all-cause and cardiovascular mortality of selective glomerular hypofiltration syndrome (SGHS) patients. : This study recruited participants from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) conducted between 1999 and 2004. Cox proportional hazard models and competing risk models were employed to investigate the effects of dietary protein intake and protein sources on all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in SGHS patients.

Lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration(IDD) is a prevalent inflammatory disease caused by many proinflammatory factors, such as TNF and IL-1β. Migration inhibitory factor (MIF) is an upstream inflammatory factor widely expressed in vivo that is associated with a variety of inflammatory diseases or malignant tumors and has potential therapeutic value in many diseases. We explored the role of MIF in intervertebral disc degeneration by regulating the content of exogenous MIF or the expression of MIF in cells.

Purpose: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have been developed for clinical application and proven effective for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Blockade of the programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) protein can partially reinvigorate circulating exhausted-phenotype CD8+ T cells (Tex cells) in preclinical models, however the clinical implication in anti-PD-1-based immunotherapy in NSCLC is unknown.
Methods: Serum specimens were obtained before and during treatment from 145 patients with NSCLC patients who received anti-PD-1 treatment and their prognoses were followed-up.

Prostate cancer is the second most frequent cancer diagnosed in men in the world today. Almost all prostate cancers are adenocarcinomas and develop from gland cells. We used the PC3 prostate cancer cell line, which is well studied and derived from a bone metastasis of a grade IV prostatic adenocarcinoma.

The two-signal model of T cell activation has helped shape our understanding of the adaptive immune response for over four decades. According to the model, activation of T cells requires a stimulus through the T cell receptor/CD3 complex (signal 1) and a costimulatory signal 2. Stimulation of activatory signals via T cell agonists has thus emerged.

Introduction: Symptom monitoring and alerting based on patient-reported outcomes have proven valuable in a postoperative setting. However, the parameters of the implemented patient-centred symptom management system for patients with prostate cancer (PC) remain unclear. This study aims to develop a perioperative symptom scale (PSS) to monitor symptoms, determine the appropriate timing for symptom assessment and establish intervention criteria for physicians.

The development of new antitumor drugs depends mainly upon targeting tumor cells precisely. Trophoblast surface antigen 2 (Trop-2) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein involved in Ca signaling in tumor cells. It is highly expressed in various tumor tissues than in normal tissues and represents a novel and promising molecular target for caner targeted therapy.
