Transanal Resection of a Prolapsed Rectal Lipoma: A Report of a Rare Case.

Lipoma is a benign tumor that arises from mesenchymal cells and is considered relatively rare. Although lipomas can develop anywhere in the digestive tract, they are seldom found within the intestinal tract. Typically asymptomatic, colonic lipomas usually do not require treatment unless they result in symptoms that warrant surgical intervention.

Retrobulbar Infiltrative Lipoma in a Dog.

A 6-year-old castrated male mixed breed dog presented to the "Louisiana State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital &-anonymized for review" ophthalmology service with marked exophthalmos and lagophthalmos of the left eye and soft tissue swelling medial to the zygomatic arch. A computed tomography (CT) scan was performed, and it revealed a well-marginated, lobulated, homogenously fat density involving the retrobulbar space. Preliminary results of a fine-needle aspirate (FNA) and biopsy were not conclusive, and a modified transfrontal orbitotomy was performed to remove the mass.

In this retrospective study, we aim to gain insight into the microarchitecture of CC in a cohort of fetuses with thick and short CC (isolated or associated with mild extra-/intracranial abnormalities) as seen on ultrasound (US), by using prenatal magnetic resonance (MR) diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) with fiber tractography, thereby allowing better characterization for postnatal prognosis.

An aggressive angiomyxoma (AA) is a rare soft tissue neoplasm of the lower female genital tract. The incidence of vaginal involvement is low, so it is commonly misdiagnosed as a Bartholin cyst, lipoma, and abscess, among others. This is a case of a 31-year-old female patient presenting with anterior vaginal wall swelling measuring 1 x 1 cm, clinically diagnosed as vaginal carbuncle.

Heart Shaped Anterior Neck Lipoma Mimicking Thyroid Mass: A Case Report.

Butterfly-Shaped Epicardial Lipoma of the Heart.

Cardiac tumors are a rare entity with typically unspecific symptoms. We present the case of a 43-year old female patient with epigastric pain and palpitations with a long history of diagnostics prior to discovery of an epicardial mass. The epicardial tumor with arterial vascularization from the left anterior descending artery was resected in a beating heart procedure and was found to be a lipomatous soft tissue tumor.

Eyelid Spindle Cell Lipoma: Case Report and Review of Three Patients in Literature.

A 39-year-old woman presented a saucer-shaped mass in the left upper eyelid and underwent the extirpation at local anesthesia. Pathologically, collagen fibers, capillaries, small vessels, and CD34-positive spindle cells were dispersed among mature adipose tissues, indicative of spindle cell lipoma. Long-lasting cyst-like eyelid masses would be usually dermoid cysts, and spindle cell lipoma would be listed as a rare pathological diagnosis in differential diagnoses of cyst-like lesions in the upper and lower eyelid.

Background: Omphalocele-exstrophy-imperforate anus-spinal defects (OEIS) complex is a rare, life-threatening congenital malformation primarily treated with abdominogenital repair. The optimal indication and timing of neurosurgical interventions for the associated spinal cord lesions remains insufficiently studied. We reviewed spinal dysraphism in OEIS to evaluate the best timing for neurosurgical intervention.

Psychometric Validation of the Revised Physical Self-Perception Profile: An Italian Context Study.

Background: The Physical Self has been defined as the set of perceptual, descriptive, and evaluative aspects that each person uses to describe his or her physical domains. The Revised Physical Self-Perception Profile questionnaire (PSPP-R) is a self-reported measure of physical self-concept domains, including a Perceived Importance Profile questionnaire that assesses the subjective importance assigned to physical domains. Although the PSPP-R has been validated in several countries, it has not been validated in the Italian context.

Unusual Presentation of Large Retroperitoneal Lipoma in a 3-Year-Old Child: A Case Report.

These tumours can cause nerve compression, discomfort, or functional impairment, necessitating surgical excision. We report a 52-year-old male with a giant intramuscular lipoma in the periscapular region, initially identified following significant weight loss after bariatric surgery.

A 25-year-old female presented with a congenital painless growing mass on the right side of her neck with symptoms of tinnitus and difficulty breathing. Imaging revealed an aneurysm of the internal jugular vein reaching a maximum diameter of 9.2 cm, shifting the trachea and right thyroid lobe to the left side.
