Background: Intestinal lipoma is considered the most common benign tumor that causes intussusception. This retrospective case-control study aimed to present the clinical and multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) features between intestinal lipomas with and without intussusception and examine risk factors that predict intussusception caused by intestinal lipomas.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 281 adult patients diagnosed with intestinal lipoma by radiologists using whole-abdominal MDCT between January 2015 and August 2022.

Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a low- to intermediate-grade dermal soft tissue malignant tumor (sarcoma) with a high local recurrence rate but low metastatic potential. DFSP is characterized by uniform spindle cell fascicles arranged classically in a storiform pattern and by CD34 immunoreactivity. On gross examination, DFSP usually manifests as a white or yellow soft tissue mass with a smooth outer surface and poor circumscription.

Cord lipomas are frequent findings in laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgeries in male patients. The symptoms of lipoma and the potential benefits of removing them are often overlooked because the focus is on the primary pathology of the hernia itself. Current recommendations are to reduce this fatty content, when present.

Liposarcoma is a malignant soft tissue tumor with several subtypes, the most common of which is well-differentiated liposarcoma (WDL) or atypical lipomatous tumor (ALT). WDL/ALTs are further divided into three histological subtypes, including lipoma-like, sclerosing, and inflammatory. While the majority of these tumors are predominantly fatty, the sclerosing variant demonstrates diverse histologic and radiographic characteristics, including variable amounts of fibrosis and fat.

Pleomorphic lipomas are infrequent soft tissue tumours with pseudosarcomatous behaviour. Their polymorphism provides them certain characteristics that may resemble malignancy, which may mislead the initial diagnosis. The presented case report is a 45-year-old man with a giant growing tumour on the left cervicoscapular region initially categorised as a liposarcoma by magnetic resonance with a final confirmed diagnosis of pleomorphic lipoma after the surgical resection and the examination of the pathologist.

Colonic lipomas are benign masses typically found incidentally during routine screening exams. They rarely grow large enough to become symptomatic. While most colonic lipomas are small and do not lead to complications, giant lipomas can present with symptoms ranging from changes in bowel patterns and mild abdominal pain to bowel obstruction.

A jejunal intussusception as a presentation of retroperitoneal liposarcoma (RLPS) is a rare occurrence. The majority of RLPS are presented as an abdominal mass, however, having a jejunal obstruction is an interesting case. The aim is to describe the management of jejunal intussusception secondary to atypical lipomatous tumours with concurrent RLPS.

Background: Lip infantile hemangiomas tend to show less volumetric regression and are more susceptible to visible sequelae in the involuted stage. Some of them still require surgical management after propranolol therapy. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the Stepwise, Multi-Incisional, and Single-Stage (SMISS) approach applied to lip reduction for those with involuted lip hemangiomas.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLipomas, benign tumors originating from the anomalous proliferation of adipocytes, predominantly emerge in regions rich in adipose tissue. However, their presence in the head and neck areas remains rare, constituting approximately 13% of all diagnosed lipoma cases. This study presents a case involving a substantial subcutaneous lipoma located at the posterior neck, measuring about 20 cm × 19 cm × 10 cm.

Compared to the number of studies on the neoplasms of laboratory rodents, fewer studies have focused on spontaneous neoplasms in pet rodents. Notably, the mouse mammary tumor virus (MMTV) is associated with mammary tumors in rodents. In this study, 77 tumors and tumor-like lesions of biopsy samples were collected from 70 pet rodents, including hamsters (n = 47), guinea pigs (n = 16), unknown species (n = 4), rats (n = 2), and a gerbil.
