Normal levels of HOCl can resist pathogen invasion and maintain cellular redox balance. However, excessive HOCl can easily harm the ecological environment and human health. Establishing a reliable approach for detection of HOCl can help resolve controversial issues regarding HOCl in physiological systems and help detect HOCl in complex environmental water samples.

Methods: In this continuous case series, the authors enrolled a total of 113 patients (208 eyes) who underwent SMILE 10 years prior. Measured parameters included uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA), corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA), and cycloplegia spherical equivalent error (SER).

One-Pot Synthesis of a pH-Sensitive MOF Integrated with Glucose Oxidase for Amplified Tumor Photodynamic/Photothermal Therapy.

Photothermal therapy (PTT) and photodynamic therapy (PDT) provide targeted approaches to cancer treatment, but each therapy has inherent limitations such as insufficient tissue penetration, uneven heat distribution, extreme hypoxia, and overexpressed HSP90 in tumor cells. To address these issues, herein, by encapsulating the IR780 dye and glucose oxidase (GOx) enzyme within ZIF-8 nanoparticles, we created a versatile system capable of combining photodynamic and enhanced photothermal therapy. The integration of the IR780 dye facilitated the generation of reactive oxygen species and hyperthermia upon light activation, enabling dual-mode cancer cell ablation.

[Clinical and genetic characteristics of a case of primary ciliary dyskinesia caused by new frameshift mutation of the DNAH5 gene].

Methods: We collected the clinical data on a case of PCD treated in the Department of Reproductive Medicine of Linyi People's Hospital in July 2020, detected the genes of the patient by whole-exome sequencing (WES), verified the candidate mutations by Sanger sequencing, and predicted the protein structure of the mutant gene by SWISS-MODEL.

Results: The proband was found with the clinical phenotypes of chronic rhinitis, bronchiectasis, visceral transposition and male infertility.

Objective: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture-related therapy in the treatment of herpes zoster (HZ) and to provide a reference for the clinical treatment of herpes zoster.

Methods: PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, Web of Science, CNKI, VIP database, Wanfang Database, and SinoMED Chinese and English databases were systematically searched for RCTs on acupuncture-related therapy for HZ until February 2023. Literature screening, data extraction, and risk of bias assessment were performed independently by 2 researchers.

Objective: This research aimed to gain a better understanding of the relationship between cervical posterior open-door laminoplasty on axial symptoms, the net cross-sectional area of paraspinal muscles, and the degree of pimelosis.

Method: A retrospective study was conducted on a consecutive series of 37 patients who had underwent cervical posterior open-door laminoplasty + lateral mass fixation and bone graft fusion between January 2015 and July 2015. All patients received postoperative examinations at 6 months and 18 months after the operation.

The published articles were screened, based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, to select high-quality studies for the present network meta-analysis.
