Reducing the plasma levels of low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) is critical for patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). Conventional treatment with statins alone may not achieve the goal of lowering LDL-C due to drug intolerance or resistance. This investigation aimed to develop the silver (Ag) nanoparticles incorporated vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) for the improvement wound healing and reduce Aseptic necrosis in treatment of femoral fracture healing. The spherical shaped Ag nanoparticles with improved morphology have been effectively synthesized via microwave assisted method using ionic liquids 1-dodecyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride. The morphological structure and crystalline properties of Ag nanoparticles are analyzed by using UV, XRD and TEM-EDX analytical methods.

The aim of the present study is to develop novel approach for the green synthesis of titanium oxide nanoparticles (TiO NPs) using Eichhornia crassipes extract and calcined at different temperatures for evaluate the wound healing activity in the femoral fracture. Pathological cardiac hypertrophy is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide; however, our understanding of the molecular mechanisms revealing the disease is still unclear. In the present study, we suggested that c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK)-interacting protein 3 (JIP3), involved in various cellular processes, played an essential role in regulating pathological cardiac hypertrophy through in vivo and in vitro studies. JIP3 was highly expressed in human hearts with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), and in mouse hypertrophic hearts.

Aim: To investigate the protective effect of microRNA-34a (miR-34a) on propofol-induced neurotoxicity and cognitive dysfunction.
Methods: After SH-SY5Y cells were treated with propofol to induce neurotoxicity, microRNA-34a mimics and inhibitors were transfected into the cells. The expression of apoptosis-related genes and the proteins were measured by quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and western blot.

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of melatonin on acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning (AOPP).
Patients And Methods: In this randomized control trial, a total of 59 AOPP patients with subsequent delirium were randomly divided into two groups, the melatonin group (n=29) and the placebo-controlled group (n=30). Patients in the melatonin group (n=29) underwent oral administration of melatonin in addition to the symptomatic treatment, while those in the placebo-controlled group took a placebo in addition to the symptomatic treatment.

Objective: To investigate the expression characteristics of long noncoding ribonucleic acid (lncRNA) lnc01614 in gastric cancer, so as to further investigate its roles in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer and its potential regulatory mechanism.
Patients And Methods: Quantitative Real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to detect the expression levels of lnc01614 in 79 pairs of gastric cancer tissues and normal adjacent tissues. The correlations of lnc01614 expression with pathological parameters of gastric cancer and prognoses of patients were also analyzed.

Objective: To investigate the curative effect of lateral position ventilation combined with vibration sputum drainage on the patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
Methods: A prospective randomized controlled trial was conducted. The patients with ARDS undergoing mechanical ventilation (MV) admitted to intensive care unit (ICU) of Linyi Central Hospital from January 2013 to June 2017 were enrolled, and they were divided into simple ventilation group and combined treatment group according to random number table.

A large number of microRNAs (miRNAs) have been previously demonstrated to be dysregulated in breast cancer (BC), and alterations in miRNA expression may affect the initiation and progression of BC. MicroRNA (miR)-34a was recently determined to contribute to the pathological development of Alzheimer's disease (AD). miR-34a deficiency significantly attenuates cognitive deficits in amyloid precursor protein (APP)/presenilin 1 (PS1) mice; however, its role in early AD pathology and the underlying mechanisms remain elusive. Here, we confirmed that the increase of miR-34a expression in APP/PS1 mice was earlier than the relevant AD pathological characteristics, such as amyloid-β production, amyloid plaque deposition, and cognitive deficits.

Objective: To investigate the correlations of the computed tomography (CT) signs of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with pathological features and the expression levels of phosphoprotein 53 (p53) and c-Myc in patients.
Patients And Methods: 87 patients with NSCLC admitted to the Department of Oncology in our hospital from July 2014 to March 2017 were randomly selected. Morphologies of NSCLC and cancer-adjacent tissues were detected by hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining; messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) and protein levels of p53 and c-Myc in cancer and cancer-adjacent tissues were detected using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and immunohistochemistry (IHC); spiral CT (SCT) was conducted for exploring imaging signs of patients with NSCLC; the correlation of CT signs with pathology and the expressions of p53 and c-Myc was analyzed.
