Aim: The present study explored the clinical significance of microRNA-22 (miR-22) expression in lung squamous cell carcinoma and to explore the targeting relationship with vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3 (VEGFR3).
Methods: A total of 49 patients with lung squamous cell carcinoma who underwent surgical treatment were selected. The expression of miR-22 was detected by fluorescence quantitative realtime PCR (qPCR), the expression of VEGFR3 was detected by Western blotting assays, and D240 labeled microlymphatic vessels density (MLVD) was detected by immunohistochemistry (IHC).

Introduction: Uveal melanoma is one of the most common primary intraocular malignant tumors with poor prognosis and limited treatments. Programmed cell death receptor-1 (PD-1) blockade represents the primary treatment strategy of immune checkpoint inhibition; however, there is a lack of studies on whether PD-1 expression in primary (ocular) uveal melanoma affects tumor progression.
Methods: PD-1 expression in 82 cases of primary (ocular) uveal melanoma was detected by immunohistochemistry.

In this study, we examined whether ortho-silicic acid restrains the differentiation of osteoclast through the receptor activator of nuclear factor κB ligand (RANKL)/receptor activator of nuclear factor κB (RANK)/osteoprotegerin (OPG) signaling pathway by investigating its effect in vitro and in vivo. Purpose: The present clinical study was conducted to investigate the effect of oxiracetam combined with ginkgo biloba extract in treating patients with acute intracerebral hemorrhage.
Methods: Ninety-eight patients with acute cerebral hemorrhage admitted to our hospital were divided into three groups. The differences of brain edema and cerebral hemorrhage were compared between the three groups after 1 and 2 weeks of treatment, and the recovery of neurological function, serum inflammatory factors, AQP-4, MMP-9, cognitive function, activities of daily living, and adverse reactions were compared between the three groups after 2 weeks of treatment.

Purpose: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) has many adverse effects on offspring, such as abnormal glycolipid metabolism, obesity, insulin resistance, mental retardation, schizophrenia and so on.
Methods: We established a GDM rat model by injecting 1% streptozotocin associated with a high-fat diet one week before pregnancy, and offspring rats were sacrificed at 8 weeks of age to obtain liver tissue for study. We used hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining to observe liver morphological changes, Tunel staining for hepatocyte apoptosis, transmission electron microscope for liver ultrastructure, and western blot for protein expression in liver tissue.

The aim of this study was to investigate the role of circular RNA-9119 (circ9119) in cervical cancer (CC) and the microRNA-126-3p (miR-126)-based molecular mechanism underlying CC. circ9119 and MDM4 were initially overexpressed, and miR-126 expression was found to be reduced in CC cells and tissues.
