Refugees often experience multiple losses. Despite this, and even though the loss is often due to unnatural causes and violent killings, the presence of Prolonged Grief (PG) among refugees may be obscured by other diagnoses such as depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Structural brain graphs are conventionally limited to defining nodes as gray matter regions from an atlas, with edges reflecting the density of axonal projections between pairs of nodes. Here we explicitly model the entire set of voxels within a brain mask as nodes of high-resolution, subject-specific graphs. We define the strength of local voxel-to-voxel connections using diffusion tensors and orientation distribution functions derived from diffusion MRI data.

The construction of nanocomposite electrodes based on 2D materials is an efficient route for property enrichment and for exploitation of constituent 2D materials. Herein, a flexible MoC -MXene/MoS/graphene (MOMG) composite electrode is constructed, utilizing an environment-friendly method for high-quality graphene and MoS synthesis. The presence of graphene and MoS between MXene sheets limits the commonly observed restacking, increases the interlayer spacing, and facilitates the ionic and electronic conduction.

Spatially and temporally controlled drug delivery is important for implant and tissue engineering applications, as the efficacy and bioavailability of the drug can be enhanced, and can also allow for drugging stem cells at different stages of development. Long-term drug delivery over weeks to months is however difficult to achieve, and coating of 3D surfaces or creating patterned surfaces is a challenge using coating techniques like spin- and dip-coating. In this study, mesoporous films consisting of SBA-15 particles grown onto silicon wafers using wet processing were evaluated as a scaffold for drug delivery.

The controlled manipulation of the spin and charge of electrons in a semiconductor has the potential to create new routes to digital electronics beyond Moore's law, spintronics, and quantum detection and imaging for sensing applications. These technologies require a shift from traditional semiconducting and magnetic nanostructured materials. Small molecules with modalities for a variety of imaging techniques as well as therapeutic activity are essential, as such molecules render opportunities to simultaneously conduct diagnosis and targeted therapy, so called theranostics. In this regard, glycoporphyrins have proven useful as theranostic agents towards cancer, as well as noncancerous conditions. Herein, the synthesis and characterization of heterobifunctional glycoconjugated porphyrins with two different sugar moieties, a common monosaccharide at three sites, and a 2-fluoro-2-deoxy glucose (FDG) moiety at the fourth site are presented.

Invited for this month's cover picture is the group of Professor Peter Nilsson at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology at Linköping University (Sweden). The cover picture shows a fluoro-glycoporphyrin that selectively targets cancer cells. The selectivity towards cancer cells are afforded due to proper functionalization of the porphyrin scaffold with specific carbohydrates, and the cancer cells can be visualized because of the intrinsic fluorescence from the porphyrin.

Whose body is it anyway? Verbalization, embodiment, and the creation of narratives.

This article examines the creation of narratives between people with severe disabilities and the personnel working with them. It shows that although a co-created narrative of what it means to be severely disabled (the story of dependence) seems to prevail, another narrative (the story of autonomy) is also told, where the story of dependence is rejected by the person with disabilities. However, this story of autonomy only becomes clear if we recognize three central claims: (1) there is a connection between where the physical body of the person with disabilities is positioned in space and what he or she is allowed or able to be and do; (2) since the body is a communicative tool, the moving of the body could be interpreted as a narrative, told through the embodiment of space; and (3) the embodied story can challenge existing social structures.
