Key performance measure of such techniques is their ability to provide control over critical quality attributes (CQAs) of produced drug particles. CQAs of drug particles produced via atomization critically depend on fluid dynamics of sprays; resulting mixing, heat and mass transfer; distribution of supersaturation and subsequent nucleation and growth of particles.

Inherited prion diseases (IPD) secondary to mutations of the prion protein gene, exhibit diverse clinical phenotypes, capable of mimicking numerous primary neurodegenerative conditions. We describe the clinical phenotype and neuropathological findings in a family from County Limerick in Ireland presenting with Alzheimer's disease-like cognitive decline and motor symptoms caused by a novel missense mutation of This mutation occurs in the central lysine cluster (CLC; codon 101-110), resulting in substitution of threonine with isoleucine at codon 107 (T107I). This case series highlights that IPD can be hard to distinguish from overlapping clinical syndromes seen in other neurodegenerative diseases.

The objective of this report is to raise awareness and stimulate transformation in the organisation of meetings of the European Health Psychology Society (EHPS).

Methods: We conducted estimations of travel-related COeq emissions of EHPS conferences in 2019, 2022, and 2023, and performed projections for 2024 and 2025.

Tobacco-free generation (TFG) policies, also conceptualised as smoke-free or nicotine-free generation in some geographies, envision the elimination of tobacco use initiation by preventing tobacco sales to generations born after a specified birth date. This cohort-based policy approach eventually aims to phase out tobacco use. This paper defines TFG, reviews its international developments and explores the feasibility of the TFG policy approach in India, considering the country's federal governance structure with health as a state responsibility, within a national policy framework.

Depth Prediction Improvement for Near-Field iToF Lidar in Low-Speed Motion State.

Current deep learning-based phase unwrapping techniques for iToF Lidar sensors focus mainly on static indoor scenarios, ignoring motion blur in dynamic outdoor scenarios. Our paper proposes a two-stage semi-supervised method to unwrap ambiguous depth maps affected by motion blur in dynamic outdoor scenes. The method trains on static datasets to learn unwrapped depth map prediction and then adapts to dynamic datasets using continuous learning methods.

Sacubitril/valsartan is an angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) drug used to treat patients with heart failure and has shown improvement in outcomes. Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome in pregnancy: a case series and review.

Background: Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) is a syndrome of cyclic nausea and vomiting in the setting of chronic cannabis use. To date, only 11 cases of CHS in pregnancy have been reported.

Stresses during solid-state formation are a barrier to formulation of large biotherapeutics as dry powders. Here, we explore an alternative avenue to protein stabilisation during the spray drying process, moving away from the use of excipients.

Coping Styles as Mediators Between Purpose in Life and Cognitive Function: A Longitudinal Study.

This study tests associations between purpose in life and coping, and whether coping mediates the association between purpose and cognitive function. Longitudinal data from the Midlife Development in the United States (MIDUS) study were used to investigate associations between purpose at MIDUS I and coping at MIDUS II ( = 2386). Emotion-focused and problem-focused coping were tested as mediators between purpose and cognitive function (memory, executive function, global cognition) at MIDUS III.

Molecular and spatial analysis of tertiary lymphoid structures in Sjogren's syndrome.

Tertiary lymphoid structures play important roles in autoimmune and non-autoimmune conditions. While many of the molecular mechanisms involved in tertiary lymphoid structure formation have been identified, the cellular sources and temporal and spatial relationship remain unknown. Here we use combine single-cell RNA-sequencing, spatial transcriptomics and proteomics of minor salivary glands of patients with Sjogren's disease and Sicca Syndrome, with ex-vivo functional studies to construct a cellular and spatial map of key components involved in the formation and function of tertiary lymphoid structures.

The influence of solute concentration and filtration on mesoscale clusters of flufenamic acid, a typical pharmaceutical compound, in ethanol.

Hypothesis: It is hypothesised in this work that mesoscale clusters will be present in both undersaturated and supersaturated solutions of organic pharmaceutical molecules. These clusters, being loose aggregates, could be sensitive to shear forces experienced during filtration. Thus, comparing the behaviour of these clusters alongside nanoparticles during filtration-an important sample treatment parameter during crystallization-will elucidate qualitative differences from solid, crystalline nanoparticles of similar size.
