A randomised trial of [F]PSMA-1007-PET/CT versus NaF-PET/CT for staging primary prostate cancer: A trial protocol.

Background: Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-positron emission tomography/contrast-enhanced computed tomography (PET/CT) is a sensitive imaging modality for prostate cancer (PCa). Due to lack of knowledge of the patient benefit, PSMA-PET/CT is not yet recommended in the European guidelines for staging and treatment planning of patients with newly diagnosed PCa. We will investigate the potential difference in progression-free survival (PFS) and quality of life (QoL) of using PSMA-PET/CT versus sodium fluoride (NaF)-PET/CT for staging and treatment planning in patients with newly diagnosed PCa.

Objectives: The Family Health Scale is a new instrument for evaluating family health. The instrument is reported as valid and reliable in investigating family health among different types of adult family members. This study aimed to translate the Family Health Scale into Danish and investigate its validity and reliability in families with a family member affected by chronic or serious illness.

Consultation on UTUC II Stockholm 2022: diagnostics, prognostication, and follow-up-where are we today?

Purpose: To summarise the current knowledge regarding diagnostics, prognostication and follow-up in upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC).

Methods: A scoping review combined with expert opinion was applied to provide an overview of the current research field. Based on the published literature and the experts' own experience and opinions, consensus was reached through presentations and discussions at the meeting Consultation on UTUC II in Stockholm 2022.

Nordic anal cancer (NOAC) group consensus guidelines for risk-adapted delineation of the elective clinical target volume in anal cancer.

To date, anal cancer patients are treated with radiotherapy to similar volumes despite a marked difference in risk profile based on tumor location and stage. A more individualized approach to delineation of the elective clinical target volume (CTVe) could potentially provide better oncological outcomes as well as improved quality of life. The aim of the present work was to establish Nordic Anal Cancer (NOAC) group guidelines for delineation of the CTVe in anal cancer.

Comparing Methods for Targeted Axillary Dissection in Breast Cancer Patients: A Nationwide, Retrospective Study.

Background: Several techniques exist for performing targeted axillary dissection (TAD) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy with the removal of the sentinel node and a marked metastatic lymph node (LN). Two-step methods include coil-marking of the metastatic LN at diagnosis and re-marking with an intraoperatively identifiable marker before surgery. Because nondetection of the marked lymph node (MLN) warrants axillary clearance and many patients achieve axillary pathological complete response (ax-pCR), the success of TAD is crucial.

This is a case report of severe hypoglycaemia following harvesting of split skin from the anterior thigh of a type 1 diabetic patient, a 75-year-old male. Lactate is produced in the human body during physical activity and elimination takes time with a half-life of approximately 18 min. We, therefore, investigated the potential impact of resting time (RT) duration on lactate concentration in our outpatient venipuncture clinic for all lactate requests during a 4½-year period. All samples drawn for venous lactate analysis during a 4½-year period in our hospital outpatient venipuncture clinics were included in this study.

COPD-Related Anxiety: A Systematic Review of Patient Perspectives.

Background: Anxiety in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is prevalent but often unidentified and therefore not adequately managed. Clinicians find it difficult to detect anxiety symptoms and to differentiate subclinical anxiety from anxiety disorders, because of the considerable overlap between symptoms of COPD and anxiety.
