Introduction: The best treatment option in children with late detected DDH is still a subject of much controversy and only few studies have investigated the long-term outcome of treatment in such patients. We performed a systematic review to assess long-term outcome of late detected DDH hips treated after walking age.
Methods: Studies met inclusion criteria if they: (1) reported at least 30 hips treated; (2) included children aged between 9 months and 12 years; (3) treatment indication was late detected DDH after walking age; (4) presented a minimum follow-up of 10 years; (5) reported a clinical or radiological outcome.

The objectives of this study were to collect and analyze current diagnosis and treatment options of symptomatic flexible flatfoot (FFF), as well as to identify treatment expectations, among the members of the Italian Pediatric Orthopedics Society (SITOP). Diagnosis and treatment preferences were recorded according to a web-based survey. The survey was divided into six main sections: (1) general clinical parameters; (2) foot aspects; (3) X-ray angles (or lines); (4) expectations; (5) standard clinical assessment; (6) treatment options.

Background: The Ponseti method (PM) of manipulative treatment for congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV) or clubfoot became widely adopted by pediatric orthopedic surgeons at the beginning of the mid-1990s with reports of long-term successful outcomes. Sports are crucial for children's development and for learning good behavior. This study aimed to evaluate the sports activity levels in children treated with PM and to assess the different outcomes, according to gender and bilaterality.

Background: Osteofibrous dysplasia (OFD) is a rare non neoplastic, self-limited intracortical fibro-osseous lesion that most commonly affects the diaphysis of the tibia and fibula of children, the best treatment is still debated. Therefore we performed a retrospective study in children mostly under 10 years old with OFD aiming to determine whether early surgery is necessary and which is the best treatment.
Hypothesis: Symptomatic OFD lesions should be treated proactively, and appropriate treatment can achieve favorable outcome.

Intramuscular injections of Botulinum Toxin Type A (BoNT-A) in children with spastic cerebral palsy (CP) have been introduced in clinical practice with the aim of reducing muscle tone, preventing muscle contractures and, ultimately, improving function. The aim of this study was to evaluate prospectively the MRI changes in the calf muscles, gastrocnemius (GN) and soleus (S) of two children with unilateral spastic CP (US-CP), prior and more than 1-year following BoNT-A injections. Two male patients with US-CP were injected at the level of the GN and S muscles.
