Introduction: LANDMARC (CTRI/2017/05/008452), a prospective, observational real-world study, evaluated the occurrence of diabetes complications, glycemic control and treatment patterns in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) from pan-India regions over a period of 3 years.
Methods: Participants with T2DM (≥25 to ≤60 years old at diagnosis, diabetes duration ≥2 years at the time of enrollment, with/without glycemic control and on ≥2 antidiabetic therapies) were included. The proportion of participants with macrovascular and microvascular complications, glycemic control and time to treatment adaptation over 36 months were assessed.

arising from nutritional iron-, folate-, and vitamin-B-deficiencies is exceedingly common in India and has profound negative impacts on anaemia, on pregnancy, and on embryonic-foetal neurodevelopment which predisposes to NTDs and psychological-psychiatric manifestations in childhood. Whereas younger-to-middle-aged Indians fail to perform at maximum potential, the elderly are at risk for calamitous neurologic events. However, these micronutrient-deficiencies are eminently correctable through food-fortification.

Background: Post-COVID syndromes are the most abundant sequel of coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) infection, which affects millions of people around the whole world. There is a significant difference observed during the acute phase as well as during the post-COVID period between patients hospitalized with (alpha, delta, or omicron) severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) variant. In the present scenario, when most people are vaccinated, COVID-19 disease is less likely, but the remnants of previous COVID-19 infections are still a vast health burden.

Weakness of the muscles of the nape of the neck and back of the spine and its related instability is the nodal point of pathogenesis of a number of clinical and pathological events at the craniovertebral junction and the spine. Whilst acute instability results in sudden and relatively severe symptoms, chronic or long-standing instability is associated with a range of musculoskeletal and structural spinal alterations. Telescoping of the spinal segments results in "vertical" spinal instability in the subaxial spine and central or axial atlantoaxial instability (CAAD) at the craniovertebral junction.

Multiple cholecystoenteric fistulae, Bouveret syndrome (a form of gallstone ileus), and acute pancreatitis occurring together is very rare. Diagnosis is seldom clinical and is mostly based on computerised tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Endoscopy and minimally invasive surgery have revolutionised the treatment of Bouveret syndrome and cholecystoenteric fistula, respectively, over the last two decades.

The most recent version of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Clinical Practice Guidelines for the diagnosis, staging and treatment of patients with metastatic breast cancer (MBC) was published in 2021. A special, hybrid guidelines meeting was convened by ESMO and the Korean Society of Medical Oncology (KSMO) in collaboration with nine other Asian national oncology societies in May 2022 in order to adapt the ESMO 2021 guidelines to take into account the differences associated with the treatment of MBC in Asia. These guidelines represent the consensus opinions reached by a panel of Asian experts in the treatment of patients with MBC representing the oncological societies of China (CSCO), India (ISMPO), Indonesia (ISHMO), Japan (JSMO), Korea (KSMO), Malaysia (MOS), the Philippines (PSMO), Singapore (SSO), Taiwan (TOS) and Thailand (TSCO).

An inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) is a very rare tumor of mesenchymal origin with unclear etiopathogenesis, no unique diagnostic features, and no specific management protocol. It is often confused with inflammatory pseudotumor in literature, and the distinction needs further study.
