By inducing apoptosis, promoting differentiation and reducing the migration of cancer cells, arsenic has a higher therapeutic effect and lower risk of recurrence and metastasis than conventional anticancer drugs. However, the low bioavailability and adverse side effects of arsenic hinder its application in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Therefore, a M1 macrophage membrane-coated nickel-arsenic/polydopamine nanocomplex (NiAsOx@P@M) was constructed to enhance the combined antitumor effects of chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

To investigate the effect of the filter device on the cleanliness of molten steel and the flow field distribution within the tundish. The tundish filters were designed into five groups of pores with 20°, 25°, 30°, 35° and 40° elevation angles, and the flow field distribution and impurity removal rate of molten steel were calculated by Discrete Phase Model (DPM). The results showed that the removal rate of impurity in the molten steel could be significantly improved by using the tundish filter with elevation angle.

This investigation studies the properties and composition of extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) of the four tolerant bacterial strains [NH (, TH, YH, and HE ()] under perfluorobutanesulfonic acid (PFBS) stress. The strains were acquired from athickened sludge in a fluorine chemical park. Each strain's EPS were isolated by heating and centrifugation, and their growth, metabolic activity, and EPS alteration research pre- and post-stress were assessed and compared.

Slow reaction kinetics during redox reactions limits the utilization of the high theoretical energy density of lithium-oxygen batteries (LOBs). Vacancy engineering, a potential strategy for modulating active sites, is critical in the development of high performance catalysts. This study investigates cobalt vacancies in Mo-CoSe nanoparticles created by selenization of phosphomolybdic acid (POM) embedded into zeolitic imidazolate framework-67 (ZIF-67).

Agricultural plastic greenhouses (APGs) are crucial for sustainable agricultural planting, and accurate spatial distribution information acquisition is crucial. Deep learning network models can extract target features from remote sensing images more effectively than traditional interpretation methods, which face challenges like high workloads and poor repeatability. In this study, we aim to enhance the inventorying of Agricultural Plastic Greenhouses (APGs) by improving the extraction accuracy of their locations and numbers through remote sensing techniques.

The dehydrocoupling reaction between alcohols and hydrosilanes is considered to be one of the most atom-economical ways to produce Si-O coupling compounds because its byproduct is only hydrogen (H), which make it extremely environmentally friendly. In past decades, various kinds of homogeneous catalysts for the dehydrocoupling of alcohols and hydrosilanes, such as transition metal complexes, alkaline earth metals, alkali metals, and noble metal complexes, have been reported for their good activity and selectivity. Nevertheless, the practical applications of these catalysts still remain unsatisfactory, which is mainly restricted by environmental impact and non-reusability.

Virtual synchronous generator (VSG) not only increases the inertia of grid-connected system, but also brings the problem of active power oscillation under grid disturbance. Therefore, VSG control strategy and system model order reduction method with transient electromagnetic power compensation are proposed. The closed-loop active power small signal model of the system is established, and the influence of transient electromagnetic power compensation on the power stability of VSG is analyzed based on root locus method.

In the parallel supply system of synchronous generator and virtual synchronous generator, the physical structure and control structure of the two kinds of power supply are quite different, and it is difficult to distribute the transient power of the two kinds of power supply evenly when the load changes abruptly. Especially in the case of sudden load increase, virtual synchronous generator bears too much load in the transient process because of its fast adjustment speed, and even causes short-term overload, which makes the capacity of virtual synchronous generator can not be fully utilized. In view of this problem, firstly, the mechanism of transient power uneven distribution of two heterogeneous power sources is explained from the differences of frequency modulation, voltage regulation and output impedance.

Introduction: The accumulation of petroleum hydrocarbons (PHs) in the soil can reduce soil porosity, hinder plant growth, and have a serious negative impact on soil ecology. Previously, we developed PH-degrading bacteria and discovered that the interaction between microorganisms may be more important in the degradation of PHs than the ability of exogenous-degrading bacteria. Nevertheless, the role of microbial ecological processes in the remediation process is frequently overlooked.

Oral administration of doxorubicin (DOX) is preferred but challenged owing to poor permeability in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), efflux of P-glycoprotein, short residence time in the intestine, and rapid hydrolysis. Herein, folic acid-chitosan oligosaccharide conjugate (FA-COS)-modified hydroxylated nanodiamond (ND-OH) was designed to enhance the oral bioavailability of DOX. The carboxyl surface of ND was modified into hydroxyl terminal group to increase the colloidal stability of the system under different pH conditions in GIT.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential of using the tortuosity of branch retinal artery as a more promising indicator for early detection and accurate assessment of diabetic retinopathy (DR).
Design And Method: The diagnoses, consisting of whether DR or not as well as DR severity, were given by ophthalmologists upon the assessment of those fundus images from 495 diabetic patients. Meanwhile, benefiting from those good contrast and high optical resolution fundus images taken by confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscope, the branch arteries, branch veins, main arteries and main veins in retina can be segmented independently, and the tortuosity values of them were further extracted to investigate their potential correlations with DR genesis and progress based on one-way ANOVA test.
