Background: At present, the existing internal medicine drug treatment can alleviate the high glucose toxicity of patients to a certain extent, to explore the efficacy of laparoscopic jejunoileal side to side anastomosis in the treatment of type 2 diabetes, the report is as follows.

Aim: To investigate the effect of jejunoileal side-to-side anastomosis on metabolic parameters in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Article Synopsis
  • Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a condition marked by high blood sugar levels due to inadequate insulin production, requiring patients to undergo long-term treatment with existing hypoglycemic drugs, which are often ineffective for managing the disease.
  • Traditional weight loss surgeries, like gastric bypass, have strict BMI requirements and can lead to complications such as hypoglycemia and dumping syndrome, reducing their effectiveness for DM treatment.
  • Jejunoileostomy is a newer surgical option showing promise for improving glucose and lipid metabolism without altering the gastrointestinal structure, resulting in fewer complications and better management of DM-related issues, supported by clinical consensus on its surgical and postoperative management.

High on-treatment platelet reactivity (HTPR) was suggested to be better correlated with recurrent ischemic events as compared with gene polymorphism, whereas most of the results were from white populations with acute coronary disease. The evidence is relatively limited regarding HTPR and its genetic determinants in predicting clinical outcomes of stroke among Chinese-Han patients.A prospective study including 131 Chinese-Han stroke patients treated with clopidogrel was analyzed.

To explore the diagnostic efficiency of digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) for mass lesions in dense breast by comparing with digital mammography (DM). A retrospective analysis was made of 125 female patients with breast masses confirmed by pathology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University from June 2018 to April 2019, all of whom were dense breast. Pathological results were taken to compare the diagnostic value of DM, DBT and the combination of the two for breast mass lesions.

Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer death, with a 5-year survival rate of only 1-4%. Integrin-mediated cell adhesion is critical for the initiation, progression, and metastasis of cancer. In this study we investigated the role of integrin b4 (ITGB4) and its phosphorylation at tyrosine Y1510 (p-ITGB4-Y1510) in the tumorigenesis of pancreatic cancer.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of nocturnal hemodialysis on end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients.

Methods: We searched Medline, EmBase, and the Cochrance Central Register of Controlled Trials for studies up to January 2016. Analysis was done to compare variant outcomes of different hemodialysis schedules, including mortality, cardiovascular-associated variables, uremia-associated variables, quality of life (QOL), side-effects, and drug usage.
