Background: Depression in Parkinson's disease (PD) is identified and diagnosed with behavioral observations and neuropsychological measurements. Due to the large overlaps of depression and PD symptoms in clinical manifestations, it is challenging for neurologists to distinguish and diagnose depression in PD (DPD) in the early clinical stage of PD. The advancement in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology provides potential clinical utility in the diagnosis of DPD.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a fatal malignant tumor, but effective clinical interventions are limited. PLGA/PEI-mediated DNA vaccine encoding the dual targets of high-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) or GPC3 was developed for HCC treatment. Compared with PLGA/PEI-GPC3 immunization, PLGA/PEI-HMGB1/GPC3 co-immunization significantly inhibited the subcutaneous tumor growth, while increasing the infiltration of CD8T cells and DCs.

Objective: To explore the value of three-dimensional- (3D-) arterial spin labeling (ASL) technique in evaluating cerebral perfusion in patients with unilateral middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) and to observe the influencing factors of poor prognosis via long-term follow-up of patients who survived the disease.
Methods: The clinical data of 60 patients with unilateral middle cerebral artery (MCA) M1 segment occlusion diagnosed by magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) from January 2018 to January 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients were examined by routine MRI, MRA, and 3D-ASL, in which two postlabeling delays (PLDs; 1525 ms and 2525 ms) were used in 3D-ASL.

The purpose of this study was to observe the effects of multimodal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the green channel of acute and hyperacute ischemic strokes, in order to better guide clinical treatment. The clinical data of 126 patients with acute and hyperacute ischemic stroke who received interventional treatment in the emergency green channel was collected retrospectively. The patients who received multimodal computed tomography (CT) were included in the CT group.

Background: Since gamma delta (γδ) T cells are involved in various autoimmune diseases, we aimed to verify whether γδ T cells participate in the pathogenesis of Sjögren's syndrome (SS) and related pulmonary inflammation, and also aimed to evaluate the effects of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) on SS-related pulmonary inflammation and the γδ T cells.
Methods: The saliva flow rates of female non-obese diabetic (NOD/Ltj) mice were measured. Histopathologic analysis was performed in salivary glands (SG) and lung tissues.

Although various studies have reported a high prevalence of depression among Parkinson's disease (PD) patients, the pathophysiological mechanism of depression in PD (DPD) is still unclear. The core region of the reward network, the ventral striatum (VS), is critical in the occurrence and development of DPD. This study aimed to explore the altered functional connectivity (FC) of VS subregions in DPD.

Background: Depression, one of the most frequent non-motor symptoms in Parkinson's disease (PD), was proposed to be related to neural network dysfunction in advanced PD patients. However, the underlying mechanisms in the early stage remain unclear. The study was aimed to explore the alterations of large-scale neural networks in PD patients with depression.

BACKGROUND We analyzed the correlation among the inflammatory changes in pericarotid adipose tissue (PCAT), plaque characteristics, and H-type hypertension on CT angiography (CTA) and explored the utility of CTA in the prevention and treatment of carotid atherosclerosis. MATERIAL AND METHODS A total of 135 patients who underwent head and neck CTA to investigate carotid artery atherosclerosis were retrospectively analyzed. The plaque characteristic parameters (plaque burden and remodeling index), PCAT attenuation value, and net enhancement value around the carotid artery, where the plaques were located, were recorded, and confounding factors were matched by propensity score analysis.

Background: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a functional gastrointestinal disorder with recurrent abdominal pain and changes in bowel habits. Many pieces of evidence show that acupuncture and moxibustion therapy has advantages in the treatment of IBS, but there are many acupuncture and moxibustion therapy options, each of which has different therapeutic effects. This study will evaluate the clinical efficacy of different acupuncture and moxibustion therapies in the treatment of IBS by means of a network meta-analysis.
