Aim: The aim of this retrospective study is to assess potential correlation between the width of the keratinized gingiva (KG), and the dimensions of the supracrestal gingival tissue (SGT) components.
Materials And Methods: On the sample of 259 teeth of 79 patients, the following measurements were collected: width of KG, sulcus depth (SD), SGT, and biological width (BW) dimensions; separate correlations between measured elements were computed for males and females, for anterior and posterior, and for maxillary and mandibular teeth separately.
Results: Correlations between buccal KG and BW were present only for the upper anterior teeth and were nonsignificant in the female subsample, whereas the correlation between lingual KG and SGT were present only in females.

Statement Of Problem: Although the conventional chemicomechanical cord technique is widely used, packing the cord into the sulcus may cause pain and bleeding. Cordless displacement techniques have been introduced, but a comparison of these systems is lacking.
Purpose: The purpose of this clinical study was to evaluate the efficiency and gingival response of 4 cordless gingival displacement systems.

Medical research in regenerative medicine has brought promising perspectives for the use of stem cells in clinical trials. Stem cells are undifferentiated cells capable of multilineage differentiation and available in numerous sources in the human body. Dental pulp constitutes an attractive source of these cells since collecting mesenchymal stem cells from this site is a noninvasive practice that can be performed after a common surgical extraction of supernumerary or wisdom teeth.

Statement Of Problem: Subtractive and additive computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) wax pattern processing are 2 methods of fabricating a pressed ceramic crown. Whether a subtractive milled wax pattern or a pattern from the micro-stereolithography additive process produces lithium disilicate crowns with better marginal and internal fit is unclear.
Materials And Methods: Ten silicone impressions were made for a prepared canine tooth.

Statement Of Problem: To our knowledge, no studies have evaluated the influence of the wax fabrication technique on the internal adaptation and marginal accuracy of pressed ceramic single crowns.
Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to compare the marginal and internal fit of a lithium disilicate crown fabricated either from conventional waxing or from a subtractive milled wax pattern.
Material And Methods: Ten silicone impressions were made for a maxillary canine prepared to receive a complete crown.

The presence of a fifth mandibular incisor, a eumorphic supernumerary tooth, has rarely been described in the literature. Recently we reported on a large Lebanese consanguineous family where 4 individuals displayed 5 mandibular incisors with the same shape and size. This type of familial clustering of the trait has not been previously described.

A fifth mandibular incisor is a eumorphic supernumerary tooth and has rarely been described in the medical literature. We report here a large Lebanese consanguineous family where four individuals displayed five incisors in the anterior mandible. Such familial observation has not been previously described.
