Indirect immunofluorescence staining was used to detect cytological changes of isolated blastodisks during mitosis of flounder haploid eggs treated with hydrostatic pressure. Changes in microtubule structure and expected cleavage suppression were observed from blastodisk formation to the third cell cycle, with obvious differences between treated and control eggs. In most eggs, microtubules were disassembled and the nucleation capacity of the centrosome was temporarily inhibited after pressure treatment.

In this study, many indexes correlated with drought resistance including yield components, chlorophyll content, the content of proline, the content of malondiadehyde (MDA), the activity of superoxide dismatase (SOD), the content of peroxides (POD) and catalase (CAT) activity soluble protein content and leaf area in flag leaves were measured under water stress after flowering in five rice backcross combinations. The indexes for drought resistance were screened by the correlation and the gray relationship analysis, under water stress after flowering. The results indicated that after flowering, rate of seeds fertilization was significantly correlated with yield remarkably.

This research aimed at investigating the effect of soyasaponins on the proliferation of Hela cells. SS-II, the second fraction of soyasaponins, was separated by column chromatographic method with D101A macroporous resin from soybeans. SS-II could inhibit the proliferation of Hela cells by changing cell cycle distribution and inducing apoptosis.

BP artificial neural networks combined with Kohonen networks were used for the simultaneous determination of tungsten and molybdenum by spectrophotometry. First, the topology structure of Kohonen artificial neural networks was studied, and applied to the wavelength selection of the overlapped spectra of tungsten and molybdenum. Then the most informative wavelengths were selected from the full spectra, and absorbance values were used as the optimal input sets of the three-layer BP neural networks.

Combining gene targeting of animal somatic cells with nuclear transfer technique has provided a powerful method to produce transgenic animal mammary gland bioreactor. The objective of this study is to make an efficient and reproducible gene targeting in goat fetal fibroblasts by inserting the exogenous htPAm cDNA into the beta-casein locus with liposomes or electroporation so that htPAm protein might be produced in gene-targeted goat mammary gland. By gene-targeting technique, the exogenous htPAm gene was inserted to milk goat beta-casein gene sequences.

Major histocompatibility complex (MHC) was correlated with immune response for extra-antigen. MHC sequences of chicken, other birds, crawl species and mammalian were derived from GenBank/DDBJ/EMBL and analyzed by alignment, and then primers were designed. By means of LA-PCR method, MHC Classgene was cloned from Wulong goose genomic DNA and total RNA, and the structure of MHC Classgenomic DNA was analyzed using bioinformation methods.

Transgenic animal mammary gland bioreactors are used to produce recombinant proteins. However, it is difficult to validate whether these transgenic domestic animals are able to express the recombinant protein efficiently in their mammary glands before the birth of transgenic offspring. In the present study, a simple and efficient method was established to evaluate the functionality of animal mammary gland tissue-expressed cassettes.

The polymorphism of goat growth hormone gene in 5'-region in 274 goats including Lubei white goat, introducted Boer goat, pure bred Boer goat , hybrid generation 1 of LuBei white goat and Boer goat , backcross of hybrid generation 1 and Boer goat were detected by PCR-SSCP with two different pairs of primers. The result showed that in 26-239bp most of the Boer goats and hybrid generation presented as AA genotype, while most LuBei white goats presented as BB genotype. In 225-429bp all breeds presented as more CC genotype.

The genetic variations of microsatellites in intron 2 of the porcine adipocyte fatty acid-binding protein (A-FABP) genes were investigated in 420 pigs including Wuzhishan pig, Yimeng black pig, Hanjiang black pig, Laiwu pig, Beijing black pig, Min pig, Chenghua pig, Neijiang pig, Erhualian pig, Bama xiang pig and Large White pig. The results suggested as follows: (i)PIC of the Wuzhishan pig breed is the highest (0.7904) and 11 alleles were detected.
