Introduction: Bariatric surgery improves many obesity-related comorbidities, yet the literature remains inconclusive on the impact of bariatric surgery on asthma. Our primary objective was to identify the long-term impact of bariatric surgery on asthma severity and medication use.
Methods: A retrospective review was completed of all patients with a diagnosis of asthma who underwent bariatric surgery over 10 years at a single institution.
