Introduction: Pediatric hip fractures comprised <1% of all pediatric fractures. These fractures are usually associated with high-energy trauma, such as motor vehicle accidents or fall from height. The Delbet classification of pediatric hip fractures is frequently used to describe these injuries and to relate the fracture type to the development of avascular necrosis.

Surgical Planning and 3D-Printed Mesh Implant for Effective Bone Gap Management: A Case Report.

Introduction: Critical-size bone defects in distal tibial open wounds pose a formidable challenge, requiring interventions that can address osseous reconstruction with less number of surgeries. Current treatment modalities may fall short in achieving optimal outcomes, with respect to early weight bearing due to the inability of the graft to sustain weight, graft-related infections, non-union in large defects, donor site morbidity, and non-availability of bone grafts due to earlier harvest. This case report explores the potential application of a 3D-printed mesh implant to this complex clinical scenario.

Staging of Cervical Cancer: What has Changed?

In India, cervical cancer is the second most common cause of cancer-related fatalities and the fourth most common malignancy worldwide affecting women. India accounts for 25% of all cervical cancer-related deaths worldwide each year. Background: The MCP card is used as a tool for pregnant women, young mothers and family members to learn about various types of services which they should assess and utilize. The study was undertaken to see the awareness about MCP card and its components among beneficiaries in urban slum area.

Methodology: This is a cross-sectional observational study done in urban slum immunization OPD with a sample size of 226.

Importance: Current measures of alopecia areata (AA) severity, such as the Severity of Alopecia Tool score, do not adequately capture overall disease impact.

Objective: To explore factors associated with AA severity beyond scalp hair loss, and to support the development of the Alopecia Areata Severity and Morbidity Index (ASAMI).

Evidence Review: A total of 74 hair and scalp disorder specialists from multiple continents were invited to participate in an eDelphi project consisting of 3 survey rounds.

Introduction: Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) is a rare presentation and a major complication of leptospirosis associated with high mortality despite advances in management.

Introduction: Idiopathic congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV) is one of the most extensively researched topics for decades. It has been associated with various musculoskeletal anomalies which maybe bony, vascular or involving the ligaments and muscles which may have a direct or indirect impact on its pathoanatomy. This report describes an unusual presentation of a bifid tibialis anterior tendon (TAT) in a case of CTEV.

Effect of platelet-rich plasma on healing of autologous graft after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: a randomized control trial.

This study aimed to assess the effect of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) graft healing at graft tunnel interface and ACL graft 6 months post-reconstruction. A randomized trial involving 87 patients was conducted, dividing them into PRP and non-PRP groups. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and functional outcome measures were used to evaluate graft healing.

Moyamoya disease has been reported in both children and adults with HIV-1. Most cases reported in children were found to have unsuppressed viral loads and low CD4 counts. Although the aetiology of the disease is largely unknown, a few studies have postulated cytokine imbalance and immune activation as possible causes.

Identifying the early predictors of non-response to steroids in patients with flare of autoimmune hepatitis causing acute-on-chronic liver failure.

Background And Aims: Early identification of non-response to steroids is critical in patients with autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) causing acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF). We assessed if this non-response can be accurately identified within first few days of treatment.
