Background: White matter hyperintensities (WMH) on MRI brain in the periventricular and deep white matter regions are commonly seen in older persons with normal cognition and in patients with AD.

Aims: To compare presence and severity of WMHs in patients with AD with that in a cognitively normal control group, and to evaluate effect of presence of Hypertension and Diabetes on WMHs in both groups.

We report a case of 18 year old male who presented with hepatosplenomegaly, anemia and thrombocytopenia. His complete hemogram, peripheral smear, bone marrow studies were inconclusive. On immunophenotyping he was diagnosed as "Hepatosplenic gamma delta (gammadelta) T cell lymphoma" which is a very rare variety of T cell lymphoma.

A 40 year old male victim of a road traffic accident presented to our emergency trauma services with multiple limb injuries and a Glasgow Coma Score (GCS) of 15/15. Soon after admission, he became confused, stuporous, febrile and tachycardic. A clinical diagnosis of thyrotoxic crisis precipitated by trauma was confirmed by relevant investigations, with appropriate therapeutic response.

A 26 years old female presented with fever, nasal stuffiness with blood stained purulent discharge, nasal twang in voice along with non-healing palatal ulcers since three months. Examination revealed a paramidline perforation in the hard palate causing oronasal fistula formation. Multiple giant congenital melanocytic nevi with central nervous system melanosis.

A case of multiple giant congenital melanocytic naevi in whom central nervous system melanosis was detected at 6 weeks of age is described. The infant was asymptomatic, but presence of risk factors such as multiple naevi, giant naevi and naevi on scalp and posterior axial location prompted a magnetic resonance imaging study of the brain. To our knowledge, neurocutaneous melanosis at such a young age has not been reported in Indian literature.

Following a head injury, a 14-month-old male presented with neck stiffness and 24 hours later developed bilateral lateral rectus palsies. An unenhanced cerebral computed tomographic scan performed on admission revealed evidence of subarachnoid hemorrhage, cerebral edema, and mild-to-moderate compensated supratentorial hydrocephalus. A second scan performed 96 hours after the head injury revealed a mural thrombus at the tip of the basilar artery without any evidence of infarction.

A ten-year-old male child presented with a large hepatic hydatid cyst which ruptured into the sub-diaphragmatic space and pericardial cavity, giving rise to a pericardial effusion. This communication between the hydatid cyst and the pericardium was documented on computerised tomographic scan of the chest and abdomen. The cyst was aspirated carefully and then enucleated.
