Background: Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) still has a relatively high complication rate, underscoring the importance of high-quality training. Despite existing guidelines, real-world data on training conditions remain limited. This pan-European survey aims to systematically explore the perceptions surrounding ERCP training.

Background: The cardio-ankle vascular index (CAVI) measure of arterial stiffness is associated with prevalent cardiovascular risk factors, while its predictive value for cardiovascular events remains to be established. The aim was to determine associations of CAVI with cardiovascular morbimortality (primary outcome) and all-cause mortality (secondary outcome), and to establish the determinants of CAVI progression.
Methods: TRIPLE-A-Stiffness, an international multicentre prospective longitudinal study, enrolled >2000 subjects ≥40 years old at 32 centres from 18 European countries.

Background: Data on the results and management strategies in patients with acute myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock (AMI-CS) in the Low and Lower-Middle Income Countries (LLMICs) are limited. This lack of understanding of the situation partially hinders the development of effective cardiogenic shock treatment programs in this part of the world.
Materials And Methods: The Ukrainian Multicentre Cardiogenic Shock Registry was analyzed, covering patient data from 2021 to 2022 in 6 major Ukrainian reperfusion centres from different parts of the country.

A comprehensive examination of 72 patients with HFmrEF (main group) and 18 apparently healthy individuals (control group). The main group was divided into two subgroups depending on the history of coronavirus disease.

Objective: The aim of the study was to investigate whether increased left ventricular mechanical dispersion is an early predictor for adverse cardiac remodeling in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction patients who had post-percutaneous coronary intervention thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) flow grade > 2.
Methods: A total of 119 post-percutaneous coronary intervention ST elevation myocardial infarction patients with TIMI flow grade >2 were prospectively included in the study. Left ventricular global longitudinal strain was quantified by 2-dimensional speckletracking echocardiography, and left ventricular mechanical dispersion was determined at baseline and after 1 year to assess adverse cardiac remodeling.
Objective: The aim: The aim of the present study was to establish a link between polymorphic variants of the microsomal epoxide hydrolase gene and the severity of COPD in patients with COPD and coronary heart disease.
Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The study included 128 patients with COPD and IHD, who were divided into two groups: group 1 included 72 patients with in¬frequent exacerbations of COPD (0-1 per year) and group 2 included 56 patients with frequent exacerbations of COPD (exacerbation of COPD ≥2 per year). The control groups consisted of 15 smokers without COPD and IHD, 11 practically healthy non-smokers and 11 patients with IHD who do not smoke.
The analysis of literature data reflecting the issues of the mechanisms of action of beta-blockers in patients with heart failure are present. The heart failure has many variants. With each of these options, the concentration of catecholamines and the sensitivity of beta receptors change differently.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The study included 114 patients with NAFLD with metabolic disorders and 64 patients of control group. Determination of the composition of the ІМ at the level of major phylotypes was performed by identifying total bacterial DNA and DNA of Bacteroidetes, Firmicutes and Actinobacteria by quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in real time (qRT-PCR) using universal primers for the 16S rRNA gene and taxon-specific primers of production (Thermo Fisher Scientific).

The analysis of literature data reflecting the issues of the pathology of the cardiovascular system in mucopolysaccharidosis are presented. It was found out that heart and vessels damage is one of the cardinal signs of this pathology, often leading to death. Cardiac pathology is recorded in all types of mucopolysaccharidosis, but it is most significant for patients with three clinical variants of Hurler syndrome, Hunter, and Maroteaux-Lamy syndromes.

Over the past decades, there has been an active scientific search for drugs that can increase myocardial contractility and improve the course of heart failure. Omecamtiv Mecarbil, a drug from the group of cardiac myosin activators, heads the list of applicants for clinical use. The article presents the results of several randomized clinical trials which studied the efficacy and safety of Omecamtiv Mecarbil in heart failure: ATOMIC-AHF, COSMIC-HF and GALACTIC-HF.

In review provides data on pathophysiological relationships of intestinal microbiota with body weight regulation in patients with abdominal obesity. In manuscript discusses the leading mechanisms by which the gut microbiota can contribute to obesity and metabolic diseases, analyzes its components, including gastrointestinal peptides, short-chain fatty acids, bile acids, farnesoid receptors, etc. Western diet high in salt, dysbiosis and endotoxemia can be powerful pro-inflammatory factors responsible for the development of insulin resistance and weight gain.

We present a challenging clinical case of an antisynthetase syndrome (ASS) with a four-year follow-up. The disease debuted with skin manifestations and interstitial lung disease (ILD), then the severe Raynaud's phenomenon came to the fore with the development of occlusive vasculopathy and critical digital ischemia. After the relief of vascular lesions, the severity of the condition was determined by ILD.

Biomarker ST2 is currently being studied in patients with HF due to its high potential predictive value and promising prospects for use as a component of biomarker-controlled therapy. The factors that can impact on the ST2 biomarker level in diabetic patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) are still not well known.

Background: Faecal microbiota transplantation is an emerging therapeutic option, particularly for the treatment of recurrent Clostridioides difficile infection. Stool banks that organise recruitment and screening of faeces donors are being embedded within the regulatory frameworks described in the European Union Tissue and Cells Directive and the technical guide to the quality and safety of tissue and cells for human application, published by the European Council.
Objective: Several European and international consensus statements concerning faecal microbiota transplantation have been issued.
