Background: Hemophilia B (HB), an X-linked recessive inherited bleeding disorder, exhibits a high prevalence among males.

Objectives: To present the first national cohort of persons with HB to define the demographics, clinical characteristics, and treatment patterns in Turkey.

Methods: This multicenter, retrospective study included 433 alive persons with HB registered in 35 centers between 1961 and 2018.

Evaluation of Diaphragm Thickness and Stiffness Using Ultrasound and Shear-Wave Elastography.

The purposes of this study are to measure the thickness and stiffness of diaphragm in association with the respiratory cyclus and to assess the reproducibility of these measurements. Forty individuals who are volunteered for participating diaphragm evaluation were included in the study. Two radiologists with 14 and 15 years of experiences in abdominal ultrasound performed all examinations independently.

Evaluating the efficiency of public policy measures against COVID-19.

Afterward, it spread rapidly all over the world, causing almost 4 million deaths as of June 2021. It is clear that effective preventive measures are needed in this devastating disease, which still has no cure.

Empowering caregivers in the radiotherapy process: the results of a randomized controlled trial.

Purpose: The present study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a mobile-assisted empowerment program developed specifically for caregivers of cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy.

Methods: In this study, seventy-four individuals who gave care for cancer patients that received radiotherapy between September 2019 and May 2020 were randomized to receive a mobile-assisted empowerment program or standard care. The mobile-assisted empowerment program comprised of education and information related to the radiotherapy process, videos, activities, and question-and-answer modules to support caregivers during the radiotherapy process.

A Very Rare Etiology of Hypotonia and Seizures: Congenital Glutamine Synthetase Deficiency.

Mutations in the human gene, which encodes the enzyme glutamine synthetase (GS), may cause congenital glutamine synthetase deficiency. The disease was first described in 2005 and only three patients have been reported to date. We report a fourth patient suffering from congenital GS deficiency who was found to have some distinctive clinical findings.

The rare coexistence of high titer inhibitor development and gastrointestinal stromal tumor in a patient with severe hemophilia: A case report.

Hemophilia is a hereditary disease with impaired blood coagulation due to a genetic deficiency of blood coagulation factors. The development of inhibitors further complicates the course of the disease and management. The case is here reported of a haemophilia patient who presented with coexisting development of high titer inhibitor with Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST) diagnosis and was admitted with upper gastrointestinal system bleeding.
